Good afternoon lovely lurkers.

Have missed you guys, but life has been so crazy the past few weeks, and work has been truly exhausting, although interesting, and I've just been worn out. At the bf's now, but turns out he's having to work all weekend. :nah:...And looks like he'll be working weekends for a few weeks, so probably won't be coming over here until he's done...I can spend time by myself at home and at least there I could get some stuff done around the house. ;)

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but at work, apparently we are buying 3 cemeteries and will be taking over running them...as if my workload wasn't crazy enough, now it's about to get a whole lot more overloaded! And I'm already learning more about running a cemetery than I ever wanted to know!

And if that isn't enough, I've been literally dealing with a crazy person at the mini storage we manage. I actually have to carry my personal weapon on me every evening when I go over there, because I don't trust this unstable person:shock:...he had set himself up living in one of our units, but because it's paid for, the best we could do was limit his hours in there and lock him out the rest of the time...I have spent more of my off time having to monitor the cameras because of this guy and we've had the cops out there 3 times because of him...I'm just so glad that he has to be out by tomorrow at 6 because we told him he can't rent anymore after that...seeing as how he has made no effort to move anything out, despite being reminded every day, and today he's just closed himself inside his unit with his dog, I have a feeling we'll be throwing all his crap out on Monday, probably with the cops as backup...and it is nothing but literally junk! Managing this place is really the only thing I hate about my job! :glare:

So how is everyone else doing? Hopefully you all are having more fun than me! LOL.

You’ve been a busy bee Sara! Trip to dads ate up a good portion of the day but I managed to squeeze in the bank a car wash buying gas and picking up a few groceries :thumb:

Dad looked rough but I guess a heart attack will do that to a body
Dale, just saw this...hope your dad is doing okay.

Oh no, Dale. I’m sorry. :( When did that happen? Do you think he’ll make a full recovery?

Sounds like you’ve been busy too. Hope you’re getting some downtime this evening.

Welcome, Pateralus9!! Hope you’re enjoying the football and the stout. Guess UB didn’t fare so well today. Not up on college football to know if they are a good team or not. But they are local to us. Tell us more about yourself.

Oh geez Angel!! That doesn’t sound too good all the way around. Stinks that BF is working weekends, eeeek on the cemeteries and that guy. Would freak me right the *blank* out.
I’m assuming mental illness is to blame which is so sad. This country just does not have the ability to take care of our own :(

Yeah he is mentally ill and not taking his meds, which is what makes him scary...I've talked to his mother, and she's scared of him and can't have him living with her, which is why he was living there...but as sad as it is, we can't have someone unstable hanging around there scaring off our other customers. Neither my boss nor I will go out there without protection now. And he hangs around outside now that we lock him out at night...but he's sneaky about it...he doesn't realize that I see everything he does on camera...and if he steps foot on the property come Monday, I'll be having him arrested...I'm sick of dealing with him! :glare:

As to his recovery I’m not sure ... he is 79 years old

Just wanted to clarify, I totally feel for you. It’s not safe for anyone and you shouldn’t have to be in that situation. :( Just wish he didn’t feel like that was his only way to live. So glad the whole weekend isn’t a bust for ya ;)

Oh I know...we all feel bad for him and it bothers me a lot that anyone has to live like that...our state is really bad for homeless people and there are just no solutions out there...and the mentally ill have it really bad...there's just no where for them to go and care for them is being cut back every day...makes me sick the way they are treated.:(

Yep, weekend is looking up...we're having steak, baked potatoes and smothered green beans for dinner! My mouth is watering already.

Same here. :( But you still need to be in a safe environment and right now it doesn’t sound like you are. Sucks every which way.

Sounds like a great dinner. Mm mm. Kiddo “made” meatloaf pepper rings, mashed tators, green beans and zucchini parm crisps. Mostly he helped prep but that’s ok, gotta start somewhere. Lolz!

I’m ready for bed. Sweet dreams lurkers.

Hey there! Yes I just got finished watching a really exciting game, Ohio State beat Penn State tonight by one point, same as last year (tonight: 27-26, last year: 39-38).
well I got my degree in philosophy, minored in English, and studied classical guitar for a couple years.
I like video games & I'm a huge movie buff. I love learning; I watch all the educational YouTube videos that I can.
I'm currently unemployed but have a couple interviews next week.
The biggest reason I'm unemployed is because I'm a recovering ...... addict. I've been sober 2 years & 3 months. So being able to quit that and cigarettes both, I think, is a pretty low statistical probability. :D
Anyway I'm rambling, so that's enough for now. But yes, it's nice to meet you and everyone else! :):):)
