    Evening Dale and lurkers

Thanks Dale, didn’t really get any better. Too many nasty folks with a chip on their shoulders. But I’m home and that’s all that matters ;)

Hope you had a good day.

I hope you guys are home and relaxing by now :)

Sirloin pork chops for supper tonight, they were good but left me feeling queasy

Oh bummer, Dale. :( hope it passes quickly. The queasy feeling that is. We had spaghetti and meatballs. With salad and breadstick.

    Good evening my lovelies!

Dale, sorry your dinner isn't sitting too well with you...hope it passes quickly.

Sara, sorry you had to deal with people like that...that's why I try to stay away from dealing with people as much as I can...everyone around the office knows my motto - "I hate people!"...I used to say "I hate stupid people," but I decided that was redundant! :p:lol:

So, as if I didn't have enough on my plate at work, I'm now having to help straighten out one of our client companies...the bad thing is it's the client that I got my son a job at recently...turns out his boss has been embezzling... he's supposedly been pocketing payments that people pay in cash...it's apparently been going on for long before my son started working there...anyway, they fired the guy on Friday, and while I had a heads up about it before hand I couldn't tell my son in case he acted funny around the guy and gave something away to him...so now we have to go in and try to find all the proof, and since he never let either my son or the lady who works in the office know how to do any of the billing or anything to do with the money, we have to figure it all out...so my boss volunteered me to go up there and help them learn the software, and also to kind of oversee the woman because they're not real sure about her or her motives...gee, I guess I'm supposed to pull this spare time out of thin air to do all this! :glare:

Think I need an adult beverage about now!

Ooof, that is worthy of an adult bevvy, maybe even two. Sorry you’re having to deal with that, Angel.

Ha! I texted that exact thing to DH earlier today. He asked me how the day was going and I said, “I hate people”:lol::lol: and I have included the word stupid a time or two.

    Good evening all.
On my phone so I will catch up properly in a bit.

Angel, when I first started where I work now, I did daily cash reconciling and AR, well AP, and a few other things too.... you know, work a willing horse to death... but the gal I followed was skimming cash paid on accounts, and even accounts paid by check.
They had a balance forward system.
She would pick cities and other governmental accounts, that never paid in full, OMG those accounts were in such a mess.
I had to go back through check stubs, and compare to deposit detail...frea freaking nightmare. Gotter done though. After awhile, it was kind of like numerical puzzles. LoL.
I'd have 8 to 10 pages of the accordian paper with lines from payments to invoices... thought I'd go flipping crazy!

Sara, sorry you have to deal with all that!

    Dale, glad you're feeling better!

    Okay be back later:wub:

Yeah I seem to always end up working at places where I have to go and straighten out embezzlement cases...this will my 3rd go round in my career...I'm kind of an expert at investigating and straightening things out, so I know all about those numerical puzzles:facepalm:...that's why the boss recommended I help them...you'd think I'd learn to just play dumb and act like I don't know anything.

    You'll eventually learn. Lol
I even left out the part about the box of remittance stubs... they'd reuse rubber bands from the post office that would disintegrate after about two weeks of being boxed up. You'd open an old box that had been upstairs in the heat of the attic type part of the building, and it would be a sea of loose remittance stubs.:-x:lol::lol::-x
