Roark sounds familiar. But maybe that’s from daytime soaps ;) was a huge days of our lives fan. When I was on maternity leave and the show would come on, kiddo was entranced by the opening credit music. He would stop whatever he was doing to stare at the tv. Lol

I’m ashamed to admit it’s been awhile since I’ve read for my pleasure.

Good morning lovely and handsome Lurkers

Good morning/night Joey  Enjoy your weekend

Good morning KC  Sorry you have to work today :(

Good morning Sara  Shouldn’t you be sleeping?
Good morning Dale  Yep, I should’ve been. Haha. I woke up when the fan stopped and the baby monitor started beeping (monitor is from when kiddo had the seizure) Power went off/on. It was the weirdest thing, didn’t go out long enough to reset clocks?!? About 20 min later it did it again, this time the clocks went out and the septic alarm started going off, causing Lucy to get riled up and woke kiddo up. DH had the hall light on and when it did it a 3rd time, the hall light stayed on, septic alarm went off and baby monitor started beeping. I am fairly certain I was wide awake at this point and don’t know why the hall light shut off that last time. :?: Maybe the house is haunted. Checked the power co website and there was an outtage but not super close to us.

I did manage to fall back asleep til about 7:30.

Good morning Dale, Sara, KC, Joey and Lurkers:wub:

We might actually get a peek of sunshine today! It's been rainy and cloudy for weeks it seems like. Sunday is supposed to be the best day, but back to 100% chance of rain on Monday:cry:. We are definitely way above average for water for the year. Hope to get down to Columbus and do some grocery shopping before the flood waters from north of us cause our river to flow over it's banks. That area flooded badly during Harvey and is subject to flood again. Can't go north, it's already flooded. Glad I'm not near any rivers. If I can survive 27" of rain in 3 days that we got during Harvey, I know we'll be fine for this one. It's just really soggy out. I've got neighbors who got tired of waiting for it to dry up that they were out mowing wet grass in drizzly rain. Mine can just wait.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good morning Paul  You’re certainly not having the kind of weather I think of when I think of Texas o_O

Best of luck today ... I wish you more than a “peek” of sunshine :thumb:

Thanks, Dale, me too. Getting ready to head out for kiddo’s haircut and I wanted to stop by the stores to see if we can find him a Halloween costume.

Hope you’re all having a good day. :)

No nap, too late ;) Just finished a sandwich I didn’t really want .... didn’t want to wait any later.
Yep, no nap here either. Yawning up a storm. Speaking of which, guess an EF0 touched down earlier today. Not super close but too close for comfort. Ripped a roof apart and flattened a fence. We had some small hail and rain. Weather Channel confirmed it was a tornado. Made Caprese Spaghetti Squash for dinner  wasn’t too bad. Will tweak the recipe for next time. Promised kiddo a game and have to clean up the kitchen.

    Sweet dreams lurkers
