Dale, sorry it was a rough day and for the extra house guests...hope you get some peace despite all that.

Was a long, draining day here too...one of those kinds of days where you're constantly busy, but feel like you didn't really get anything accomplished.

At least I have the house to myself tonight, since the boy is out at a concert...enjoying an adult beverage and the peace and quiet.

Going to catch up on some TV...sweet dreams lovely lurkers.

Not as cold as you Dale, but definitely cooler here...was in the mid 70s yesterday, this morning it's about 42 with a high in the 50s...down to the 30s tonight...and of course, the stupid heat is doing it's thing again and doesn't want to come on again, so it's cold in the house...will have to fight with the dang thing later.

Came home last night to no internet, phone, or cable.
That was finally fixed today about 2. Darn squirrels...literally!

Going to be cold here too...has been, but going to get colder this week.
Spitting GINORMOUS flakes right now, but so far, it's not sticking and I don't think it's supposed to...much.

Dale, sorry about your extra houseguests. I know you were dreading that possibility.

Sara, Angel, Dale, hope you all get to relax some!
Supposed to be the lazier time of year to rest, right?

Thanks for the well wishes for family.
It is what it is, several of us have had to deal with aging parents, it stinks sometimes, but you just do what you need to do.

Heading off to mix up and bake a meatloaf, have a good evening all if I don't get back through.

Angel, hope you get that heat working. Especially with those temps.

I’d give anything for a lazy month leading up to the holidays, Lori. Looks like our weekends for the rest of the year will be filled with soccer I know what I’ll be doing tonight, filling in the holes in that schedule with our Christmas activities (cookies, gingerbread house, driving around to check out lights) all our usual traditions. Enjoy that meatloaf! I’m hoping to make some this weekend. Good ok comfort food.

I am not looking forward to that part of getting older, having to make decisions for aging parents. I can barely keep my own head on straight. But I agree, it is something that will have to be done and I wouldn’t want someone else doing it.

Finally got the heat to come on at lunchtime...it does this every year...usually requires some kind of ritualistic dance and a sacrifice to the heat gods, and then it'll finally work. ...the dang thing is just getting old and cranky, much like me!

Ugh Dale, what a long day...hope you can relax a bit.

Sara, that is a busy schedule you got there...I don't envy you that.

Lori, yeah dealing with aging parents is hard, but I figure we owe it to them to help them out after all they did for us when we were growing up, and for not killing us in our teen years.

I'm tired...has been a long, busy day, but then, when is it not...time to relax and watch some TV...sweet dreams lovely lurkers.

Good morning, KC and Lurkers! I agree, KC, coffee first! Into my first cup. Another long day for me again. 7 days a week, either at work or here at home. Been working furiously on the house getting the roofing done. Still have some more to go and we have a cold front moving in tonight and rain possible tomorrow and for sure by tomorrow night and all day Friday. I'm in a panic now. I don't think I can get it all done in time.

Sounds like everyone is dealing with being busy. Seems to be going around. Hope you all have a great day!

Dale, uggg, sorry yesterday was a rough one for you. 11 hours That’s awful.

Oh Paul, I wish you didn’t have to do that all alone too. I’m with Dale, it’s a shame we are all so far apart. Not that I know anything about replacing a roof hope the rains holds off for you.
