Hi Angel
Sorry your steak wasn’t good, you should have sent it back. When’s the actual day?

Oh the barking  Isn’t it annoying?

Can’t believe the weekend is already over  I’m not ready
She’s quiet now. But that’s probably because we just lost power. No estimated restore time. Uggg. The nic I have in the freezer should be ok, right? It’s a chest freezer, packed in boxes, and insulated.

Oh no! Hope it’s not out long

Your freezer should be fine if it’s fairly full for at least three days.

    In your nightmares
    Good afternoon lovely lurkers.

Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend...not too bad here...bf took me out for an early birthday dinner last night since I won't be here for the actual day...went to my favorite place, Texas Roadhouse, and ended up having the worst steak I've ever had...was so full of fat and undercooked that it was just about inedible! :nah: I only ate about a 1/3 of it before I gave up...the dog was thrilled though. ;) The rest of the meal was great though and the shrimp was wonderful so it wasn't a total loss...plus the huge margarita made it where I just didn't really care!
    Happy birthday Angel :bday:

The roadhouse is one of my favorite places to have dinner also:)

It was off for an hour and it has come on and gone off a couple times in the last 5 minutes. Hopefully we are getting closer to it being fixed. We have everything unplugged in case of a surge but left the kitchen light on. Worst case scenario we plug Lucy’s freezer into the generator. The two things I’m most worried about. Her food and my nicotine.:lol::lol:

Oh and don’t be opening it to check on things

Glad you have a generator, wish we had one.

Nope. Definitely will not be opening anything. Unless it’s to transfer our meat into her freezer ;)

We have a small one. We got it when we were building. But I don’t remember what it was for.

Whelp, I suppose I should conserve my battery. Gonna hit the pillows and hope the power is on in the morning. Sweet dreams lurkers

Hiya Dale  Mexican sounds delicious. I think it’s takeout after soccer practice.

Thanks, Dale. Me too! Having no power is fun......for a little while.
Fun you say?! Not for me! But we usually lose it when it’s unbearably hot.

Well, that would definitely not be fun. It must be the adrenaline rush you first get when you realize it’s not coming back on. Run around lighting all the candles, unplugging everything. Once you sit down on the couch and realize your phone is only at 50% and think hmmm, how long have I been using this ego since I last charged it....well then the fun is gone ;)
