I had a Rottie that used to love cantaloupe of all things, lol. Actually, he was cross between a blood hound and a rottie but the Rottweiler was clearly the dominate gene. He was huge. Every time I took him into Petsmart folks would follow us around, lol.

Good afternoon lurkers It’s been awhile since I grabbed this many quotes


Lucy is spoiled rotten too. The pic I posted she was laying on the floor staring and growling at me because I was sitting at the counter instead of on the couch with her. Lol. Yep, gonna get started on the zucchini bread in a little bit.

Female bully’s should weigh between 48-50lbs. She feels heavy when she’s standing on my lap, so I was guessing between 50-60 but DH says she weighs in at exactly 50. However, she’s not the most energetic so it’s a lazy 50 instead of a muscular 50. I try to get her outside and throw the ball. She will retrieve a couple times and then lay down with it. Forget running around the yard with her. She will not walk with me unless I drive her to the bike path, which I almost never have the time.


Sounds like me, so I have part of retirement down pat (early to bed early to rise)


Awwwww!! That’s cool.

Lucy has to have a hard boiled egg with me in the morning. I only give them to her twice a week. But she knows the sound of the egg carton and comes running. Even if she’s upstairs.

Maybe that’s what I need to do with her, run around the yard with a hard boiled egg.

Ooooh. Sounds like a fun time, Dale I hope she agrees!


Oy Vey!!! Went to make juice and a huge chunk of the Boston round fell off the top of the bottle. I don’t know if it’s from the glass being cold and then out to room temp too many times (from the fridge) It was in the freezer at one time but only partially filled (leftover from decanting and I didn’t want to mix companies). Weak spot in the bottle? Thank goodness there is only about an inch of nic left in the bottle. I don’t trust vaping it in case there are small shards of glass in it.

I am finally breaking into my actual freezer stash.....3 years later. Guess we shall see how it’s held up. Now I’m feeling like I need to order more.

Got busy again, but so glad it's the weekend! ...Yesterday wasn't so bad at work...we went out for a late lunch to celebrate one of our employees birthdays and had a great time...this was the only time I didn't drink a margarita because I had to drive to the bf's afterwards. ...But I did get my big drink once I got here, so all was well.

Sara, Lucy is really cute! My Harley (the big yellow lab) loves veggies, both raw and cooked...he absolutely loves bell peppers!!...oh, and not sure I'd want to vape that either, I'd be afraid of any glass that might have gotten in there. Better to be safe than sorry!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday...me, I'm enjoying being lazy!...getting ready for some meatloaf...yum!!

I agree, Dale, thankful it wasn’t a full bottle. But I’m nervous about opening this new bottle I took out of the freezer. Currently coming to room temp on the counter.

Baked ziti sounds good too....just make sure you give the bottle plenty of time to warm up before you try to open it...I'm sure it'll be fine once it does.

Ok, pretty sure I was wrong about how long it was in the freezer. Didn’t feel like digging it back out but I believe it was dated 5/17, so two years. It is RTS nic and it smells just like the bottle I had in the fridge for most of those two years. Clear. I made up a bottle and will try it tomorrow.

Relieved the bottle didn’t break or oooze all over the place.

Morning, Lori ......retirement is nice, for the most part....I'm a homebody, so I don't travel. Have to find ways to entertain myself near home....but it's nice to NOT have to set an alarm clock, even though my body wakes me up WAY too early and sends me sleeping before 10!!

I cannot wait to retire, but... it'll be awhile. Just 53. I normally work 3 days a week, so I'll take it for now.

That's funny that your pup loved cantalope, but I will say that I think Georgia has some really good cantaloupe. Best I've ever had for sure, hands down.

I think we're as prepared as can be.
I think it's going to get ugly, soon.
By that I mean not much available to choose from if you haven't prepared in advance.
