 trying to be a supportive and understanding mother
*sighs* they grow up too fast
my daughter just texted me that she's going out on a date with her best friend....
I mean what can I really say or do, she's almost 19, getting ready to go off to college....

I mean, I can't lock her up in her room *can I *

neither of them really understands what "date" means, I know this was more of a, hey we hang out a lot so let's call it a date
and if her first "real" date is going to be with anyone then I don't mind it being with him
they're just going to the park

they both have autism, on different sides of the scale, so they are still both kind of kids emotions stuck in almost adult bodies...
I think it's kind of cute that they decided to call it a date...but at the same time the mother in me is all NOOOOO
but she'll be 19 in september and heading off to collage and he's 17 or 18 (I forget) but he can drive so he's been hanging out a lot more with kya now since she can't drive (more that she won't, she's afraid and won't try, was hoping he'd talk her into it but nope, she's bound and determined that she'll never be able to drive...sometimes she does go carts but then realizes that no she can't drive, she gets distracted easily and crashes into the walls....maybe one day she'll try to learn)

lol they decided to go to the park because again they really don't understand what a date means and well, they're not really romantic towards each other so going out to eat isn't really something they'd enjoy.
It's one of those complicated relationships where yeah they "love" each other but not like "that" and not like siblings.... more like the, if we aren't married by 30 then let's just marry each other

    Good evening Sara :)
We had a rerun of last night for supper
Boys will be eating leftover roast for their lunches when I’m not here to make lunch :thumb:

That’s a pro to going back to work....no more cooking 2/3 meals a day and I told them to be prepared....we will be cleaning leftovers out of the freezer for their future lunches. :D

    Good morning Dale

    Happy Friday? :confused::lol:

I agree! Always running out of something dish wise. We are fortunate to have a dishwasher but for awhile there, the gelpacs were a hot commodity so I did not want to run it twice a day. I haven’t handwashed this many dishes since I was a kid :w00t:

It’s confirmed, my first day back we are reopening to the public, by appt only...thank goodness, I think ;)

Good afternoon Dale and Joey

Monday is my first day back. Absolutely, first it was tp and pt then dish soap, hand soap, crisco, fresh produce. People hoarded just about anything and everything they could. I started ordering stuff online. Felt bad for the ups and fedex, they were here almost every day.

Oh girl, the drivers hate our driveway  Some even park at the street and walk up the hill :facepalm: It’s a tough slog
I admit I was angry with the UPS driver who dumped my 105 dollar order out at the mail box :grr:
