Thanks for the hug, it’s okay I guess. He’s 80 after all.
Just finished eating some leftovers from yesterday. Still good.
Yes, but when it’s your dad it’s a whole different ball game. For me, it will be when my mom gets older. I’m glad you were able to spend some time with him though, that’s so important. Yay to good leftovers! 
We did a 2 1/2 hr zoom call. Watched everyone (7 of us) open the gifts from each other and chatted for awhile. It was nice but so hard to not be able to see them in person, for me anyway. I worked on cleaning up the mess for a good while. Then started dinner. Lasagna was very good. DH brought home a loaf of Italian bread yesterday, so I cheated and made garlic toast from that. Those breadsticks are still on my list of things to make. Oh how I love me some Olive Garden bread sticks.
How am I MORE tired from staying home, just the three of us, than hosting dinner for both sides of the family??

Well dad is pretty much all I have left, my brother and I don’t have a relationship (his choice) .Yes, but when it’s your dad it’s a whole different ball game. I got a bread maker for Christmas. We have our first loaf of white bread doing it’s thing
Alfredo for dinner with fresh bread. Super excited. Now I just need to find a reasonably priced food mill and some wheat berries to mill my own flour. Love it!!!
