I hope you were able to go back to bed.
It’s much cooler in the basement, so that will help a bit. Dh said it was no where near as high as the first time it flooded and that was in the winter time.
When the power came back on the sump pump took care of most of the water. So we squeegee any low spots towards the sump hole. And turn the fans on 24/7 until everything is dry. We also have a dehumidifier down there. Sounds like we got another 6 inches.
The power was out until around 10pm so 5 hours total. I think that’s the longest it’s ever been for us here in the new house. Since it usually takes a couple days to thaw meats from the freezer, I’m assuming all that beef is ok, right?
