Good evening Dale and Joey

Bummer, Joey. I’m sorry. Fingers crossed for you.

hahaha I was feeling that same way today, Dale. I think we might have hit 60ish. Sun was out and it was a gorgeous day.

We had spaghetti with meatballs, garlic toast and salad. Feels great to cook again ;)
    Good evening Sara

Seriously ?! o_O  I didn’t feel that way starting Monday

It was decent lol. Weather sure helped. Another day like yesterday. Breakfast sandwiches for dinner with fruit salad. Happy tomorrow is Friday. I have a bit of time off coming up. My usual November staycation to prepare for Thanksgiving. We are still up in the air as to how we’ll celebrate

    How was the dentist?

    Hi Sara :)
It was cold, wet and windy here all day.
We had sandwiches for supper as nothing sounded good.
I guess what we do about thanksgiving depends on what we can get at the store

Dental appointment was fine, just a cleaning.

    Good morning lurkers

I see that mess is headed our way. Just in time for the weekend :p:lol:

I hear ya. Are you finding a lot out of stock where you are? I’m thinking we’ll need to start shopping now and hopefully have everything we need by Thanksgiving. I’d prefer it be just the 3 of us but I’m getting pushback in all directions.

Aw I hope your weekend won’t be ruined

I’ve been a couple of times when the shelves were about as empty as when this mess first started. You’re probably right about the wisdom of starting now to gather items for your thanksgiving dinner. I have the feeling turkey’s are going to be outrageously expensive.

Sorry you’re being hounded to provide a gathering. Our son said he wanted to have a meal here but he wasn’t pushy about it. We plan on doing something and invite the kids and their families.

    Good evening lurkers

Fresh turkey’s are always  but it’s the one thing we splurge on for the holidays. Christmas is always cheap pasta (lord knows we have enough of that in the pantry lol) NYE is apps and Easter is roast beef sandwiches with some sort of cheesy potato or rice dish. ;)

Definitely keep an eye out for your staples now and pick up what you can each week. Will be less stressful than the weekend before the holiday.

We were going to carve pumpkins tonight but kiddo has a lot of homework. He has to catch up because they switched him from 8th grade science to advanced science. I’m super proud of his accomplishments but feel bad he has to catch up from the beginning of the year. So we will carve tomorrow. We’ll go to my mom’s for Halloween and the weather should be better for that. He likes to pass out candy vs TOTing.

‘Cheap pasta for Christmas? How’s that? We don’t bother with NYE’s

Wow kiddo must be really smart! Way to go kiddo  I had forgotten tomorrow was Halloween  Bela’s going to spend the night and go to the church Fall Harvest, I’m keeping Kalli in the morning and I do mean early morning ... like before daylight  Why does it all have to happen at the same time
