I am pretty sure today is going to be a better day for me. Yesterday dad woke me up by calling me and telling me he was on the floor. He rolled off the bed in his sleep and cut his ear. Who would do something like that to me before I had my coffee? Fun trip to the emergency room and he is doing great today. He feels well enough to argue with me that I am not going to get a bed rail from Amazon. heehee He's a tough o'l bird.

My back was already bothering me from the tree limb ordeal but after getting a 200 lb man off the floor yesterday. . . let's just say I'm going to be taking it easy for a couple of days.

I slept for six hours last night! Pretty good considering I had only had 2 hours the night before. I don't spring back from those all-nighters like I used to.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Hi Rat2
I’m so sorry to hear that your back is bothering you, makes everything miserable :(
Sounds like your dad needs a caretaker he can’t argue with

Try to take care of you today.

I have taken it pretty easy today. I think it is the weather also. It has been raining since after lunch.

Sometimes arguing is not a bad thing. Just as long as I always get the last word in. (which I do) girl_haha.gif

    Good evening lurkers

Rat2, not sure if he would go for it, but maybe you could take a thinner blanket and roll it up lengthwise, stick it under the fitted sheet, closest to the edge. It may provide just enough resistance in the night. Glad he is ok.

When we moved kiddo from the toddler bed to the regular one (queen size as it was mine prior to getting married) we used inflatable “bumpers”. They went under the fitted. But after deflating a few, I decided to use a blanket. It worked the same and cost nothing. When the bed is made you can’t even tell it’s there.

Joey, Nothing wrong with learning how to grind your own at an early age. ;) It could come in handy later on and the quality is much better than already ground.

Taco Tuesday complete with 1 homemade margarita  Well deserved after today!!

That is an excellent idea. Might be even easier to use one of those thinner pool doodles they sell at the dollar store. Oh my! I hope it does not happen again but I always like to have a plan/solution in my head. JC_ThankYou.gif

Everyone have a peaceful night
I really did. I made sausage biscuits so dad would have one with his coffee and I made a pan of brownies. The house smelt so good all night. I read (of course) but had another night of good sleep for me. That's two nights in a row. JC_goody.gif I hope this is a trend and not a fluke.

    Good evening lurkers

    Oh no, Dale. :( Allergies?

Mmmm brownies, save me one, Rat2.

Frozen raviolis and tortellini for dinner with garlic bread, salad and steamed cauliflower. Dh cooked as they had soccer. :thumb:
    Good evening Sara
    We had Chinese.

Yeah, partly allergies, partly sleeping late and some weather changes all combined led to the swollen face. It generally goes away pretty quickly.

My supper was just "meh". You both had great ones.

I am not sure what is wrong with me. I took a short walk and came in and took a nap. Woke up and dad was outside burning brush in his barrel. He cannot be trusted to just sit still. girl_haha.gif Glad he fills like doing stuff but why I have to keep an eye on him all the time. heehee

I really wish I could share a brownie with you and Dale too! Virtual will have to suffice. download.jpg

It was just meh to me. Dad ate every bite. I took out country-style steak from the freezer and added potatoes and green peas, pineapple and roll. It was good but just did not make my tastebuds dance. heehee

Hope you are feeling better.
