I’m sorry both of you are still sick. Whatever is going around is nasty. *knock on wood* it doesn’t hit here. Thank goodness you were able to manage at home.

Thanks, Joey. The sandwiches were really good.

Ugh, sorry it was a long yuck day for you, Dale. You’re off tomorrow, right?
    Oh yeah, I don’t work on Sunday’s;)

Don’t know about you but I’m ready for bed

    Good morning Sara
I thought you liked wraps ;)
I would have made one this morning but we are out of wraps. Settled for an onion bagel and an air fried hash brown lol.

Grrr! So I’m beginning to hate shopping online in addition to the stores. There were hardly any black friday ads in the paper on Thursday. Searching for items online is frustrating unless you know exactly what you want. Just went and got the Sunday paper and again, no ads. Don’t the retailers know I need some inspiration this year.

Glad I can let the kids do their own shopping
Except for Kalli and she’s still easy ;)

I agree, hope it stopped raining and you were able to use your pellet grill.

I popped some pizza logs and chicken fries in the air fryer for the boys. I made a couple extra chicken fries for me. Chopped them into bite size pieces and added them to the last of the mashed potatoes and gravy for a modified kfc bowl.

All my Christmas cards are done and I managed to get a good start on my Christmas shopping. Although the latter left me with a headache. Lol!

    Sweet dreams

Gosh, I just got caught up with everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had a great time at Terry's daughter's and ate way too much but that's what I wanted to do. heehee

Got up Friday morning determined to work twice as hard at the gym and I got there and there were closed until Monday. Although I was quite disappointed, it was nice that they gave the employees a long weekend.

Since they were closed, I stopped at a community here that has a wonderful walking path that is pretty long (with hills, yuck) but I was going to try it. As I was sitting in the car my ex-brother-in-law (my sister's 1st of 5 marriages) knocked on my car window. I used to go over to see him before dad started having a fit so I have not seen him since 2019. It was so funny, I got out of the car and his mouth dropped open and he asked where the rest of me was. I guess 60 lbs does make a big difference. Made me feel sort of good.

I hate I have not been around but I really have not been at home very much and I am quite happy about that. I had a wonderful time when Terry took me shooting and we joined that indoor range. I could not believe how well I did for the first time and Terry seemed pretty impressed too. I cannot wait to go back again. I will have to wait on him because I do not feel comfortable enough to go by myself yet (but I will). The only real problem I had was loading the magazines. I could get the first ones without much effort but those last ones hurt my thumbs something awful. Terry would have done it for me but I am quite determined not to depend on anyone for things I need to be doing myself.

I will probably be scarce this week because I have got to study my manual for my concealed carry class that is coming up next Saturday and I want to be ready. I am not worried about the shooting part of it anymore but I do hate to take tests. It is just an 8-hour class but I imagine it will seem like much longer. It has been so long since I did anything like this. I am looking forward to it though.

I have spent 2 days shopping on Amazon. I took surveys that my insurance company emailed me and they sent me a debit card. Since my insurance is ending on the 31st of December, I had to use it or lose it and you know I am not going to toss $550.00 away. It took me a long time to pick what I wanted from my wishlist. Other than Terry's birthday present, everything else was stuff I wanted and talked myself out of. The biggest item was a microwave which was a 3 in 1. I did not even know they made microwaves that broiled and air-fried stuff. I think that is pretty cool. I have been wanting a convection oven for a long time. Tried to get dad to buy one because it would be cheaper than using the oven but he did not agree. I could have used it when I was cooking so much. I am still just boiling eggs and making tea.

I am now looking forward to Christmas dinner with Terry's sister. I know most of them and it will be great to see them again. I will be spending the New Year starting off at the coast. I am not sure how long I will be gone. Terry said we could stay as long as I wanted to. (or whenever he gets tired of being with me, heehee). I just really want to take some time to relax and read. I cannot remember the last time I could get away without worrying about dad. I think it is a wonderful way to start off the New Year and the new me too. heehee

Well, I have written a book again. Just because I have not been around, I sure have thought about all of you. I have always been a homebody so I am sure at some point, I'm going to return to my hermit ways and I will be back on a regular basis and you won't have to read such long posts. heehee

Hope everyone has a great week.

Good morning all. It looks like it is going to be another beautiful day. It just feels so weird to be the end of November and still so darn warm but I am NOT complaining.

Thank goodness I slept a tiny bit better last night. I feel like there is rain on the way though. I am going to try to get to the gym this morning because I have an insurance man coming to my house at 3 to talk with me and give me a quote. I may wait for him outside and see if I can get him to come in the garage door. I still have not done anything to the living room and dining room and I really don't want anyone to come through the front door. It's hard to get anything done when you are never at home. Isn't it wonderful?

Yesterday I went into the attic and pulled out a few Christmas decorations. I am not going to go all Griswold but I get to put some stuff out this year. Dad never wanted anything changed. One year with him, I put my foot down and put red bows on the front porch lights. He had a darn fit so it just got to be that it was not worth the stress. There are a couple of different-sized trees up there but I am not sure I want to go to that much trouble since hardly anyone comes in the house, including me. heehee I am thinking with all the cute little decorations I saw, that I could buy a plant/tree and decorate it. That way I would enjoy it the whole year. (or until it is deceased because my thumbs are not green). Oh well, something to ponder.

I had to laugh. I saw a box with greenery in it and thought it would love marvelous across the mantle. I picked it up and pieces just fell everywhere. There is so much up there that will just have to be tossed. I got up a big black garbage bag full in just the short time I was up there. The heat just ruins so much.

I am so glad the gym is open today. I must be excited because I put my gym clothes on as soon as my feet hit the floor. The coffee was great this morning (like when is it ever not?). I walked Saturday on my dead-end street which was nice because it was so warm but boy am I going to love that treadmill instead of walking an hour in 30-degree weather. I have got to get busy and lose my dating and Thanksgiving weight so I will be ready for Christmas. I have time to take off a couple of pounds.

You know me? I could type for another 15 minutes but I am going to stop now. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will get back on later. Since Terry is at the beach, I have no plans for this whole week. Maybe something will come up. Jay called a couple of times and Derek texted me a happy Thanksgiving. Who knows? Who cares? heehee I am content and that is all that matters.

    Good evening lurkers

Any news on your car, Dale? Been thinking about you. Feeling any better?

A lil decoration here and there will do you some good, Rat2! We were looking at black Friday/cyber Monday sales on treadmills. When I walk, lmbo, it’s a figure 8 between the living/dining rooms (open floor plan). Lots of mixed reviews.

Long day! Dh is heading to WV after dinner. Should be home tomorrow around bedtime  too much dang driving at night for him and I don’t like it one bit.

I’m feeling much better today, thank you:)

We did finally get the the back window replaced in the car last week. Still looking for another body and someone to do the work.

I‘m thinking about getting a treadmill for Christmas too  DH says he knows some ladies that want to give theirs away so it may be free.

Supper was good tonight, bbq ribs, baked sweet potatoes and Cesar salad.
