I gave up a lot of things when I moved here to be with my SO. We're pretty much done, so I'm reclaiming who I am. Kelt is not just a nickname. I'm a Celt, a Cornishman, a "Cousin Jack" (a Cornish immigrant).

The "K" in Kelt is not an affectation, it's a reference to my heritage, and a nod to the Cornish language.. Kernewek.

I gave up wearing the kilt when I moved in here. Since me and the SO are on different paths now, I decided I would check and see if I still fit (It's been 10 years nearly). Damn! They all still fit!
For no good reason other than bragging, here's a bathroom selfie LOL, I'm 54 years old and the clothes I bought at age 35 still fit me! Whooo hooo!
I was a Utilikilt Man of the Month in 2005, and that kilt still fits me too!

Hello new friends and welcome to the veritable poop carnival that is my life. I look grumpy, I'm not.
I'm a weirdo with all kinds of weird life stories: AMA (ask me anything) .

Most if not all of you are asleep. Good morning to you all, and may you all have the most fantastic day ever

    Good morning lurkers

I have made a mental note to add our version of the KFC bowls to the meal plan next week, Dale, thanks :) A good portion of our driveway is bare, finally!! Except more snow is on the way this weekend. Lol

Yeesh, Joey. Are you back on 10hr shifts or was it a one off?

Rat2, you are a kind lady with a big heart and folks know that. But I suppose it could be the new wardrobe lolol

I wondered if Kelt was like Kilt/Celt. That is super cool. Glad you are doing things for yourself that you enjoy! Love hearing about geocaching. It sounds really interesting. Between work, taking care of a teen who plays soccer both indoor and out, an english bulldog and trying to keep up with household chores, it doesn't leave me much time for anything else lol

    Have a great day everyone!!

Wow! Good morning all you lovely and handsome Lurkers new and old!

Welcome AXIOM_1 new people bring excitement here ;)

Kelt I was wondering yesterday if you had a meaning behind your name, not far from what I was thinking :thumb: Mine is just a mixture of my first and middle name, not creative at all.

Sara I’m happy to hear that some of your snow is gone but hoping your forecast is incorrect.

‘’Hey Joey I’m with Sara, are you back to 10 hour nights already?

Rat2 I’m not the least surprised people are nice to you, you have a very loveable personality  And you must be pretty decent looking too ;)

TARTARA, what up? No new artwork lately? ;)

Sorry I’m so late and missed you all this morning, was awake until after 1 a.m. so woke up late ... gonna mess up the whole day.

Love easy meals :) Grilled chicken is my favorite. Stir fry comes in second, which is the plan for tomorrow night.

Cleaned up from dinner and walked on the treadmill for a little bit. I’m definitely ready for bed lol.

Sweet dreams when you go, Dale

Thanks! I will try to make this thread a regular hangout.... I bounce all over the forum and so I never know where I will end up. LOL I am usually up on the Shinyitis thread or the general vaping discussions most of the time but will hang here more often.

Bless your heart. What is the issue with it. I had my elbow operated on for Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. I always get weird things and why I quit going to doctors. They all like to dissect, schedule surgery, and leave their mark on me.

I had forgotten that mom had one of those. I should get it out. I have been buying grilled chicken in a bag at Aldi's that is really good and only $5 something. I can get three meals off of it so it is quite economical for me. The older I get. . . the more I like EASY!

Thank you. Wish I would find someone that appreciated that loveable personality.

My sister was the pretty one but only on the outside. I'm not Quazimoto but I guess I am ok. I really have been trying to fix up lately. Not necessarily because I am looking for anyone but because I want to do it for me.

I just remembered I did not get on last night. I had a coupon for a free dessert at Long Horn. I got up the nerve to ask Derek if he wanted to go with me and the rejection did not really bother me like I thought it would. I have been texting Derek for 9 months. He picks up and delivers lawnmowers that need to be worked on. Dad needed something done to his (that I refused to do) and then my aunt had hers worked on when she hit the stump and bent her blade. He is a talker and of course, I am too. He took my phone and put in his number and we have been texting ever since.

He had foot surgery and said that he would love to take me out when he get his pin removed and can wear regular shoes. I am not sure what that has to do with going out to eat. Maybe he is afraid I will step on his foot accidently. He gets his pin out in a week so we will see if he asks me out. I gave it my one shot so he will have to do the asking.
    1YES.gif

Well, all that was to tell you that I did not want to waste that coupon so I called my aunt and told her to get ready because we were going out to eat. She was so excited and we had a ball. I bought her supper because we split the meal like me and dad used to do. We had the chopped steak with mushrooms and onions on it. It was good. But they had honey-drizzled Brussels sprouts that were out of this world. I almost did not get them because to substitute the salad it cost $2.79 more. My aunt is not fond of salads so I decided I deserved to get what I wanted and I am glad I did. I could literally go there and just eat a bowl of them. They were that good.

You should Google Chocolate Stampede at Longhorn and see what we split. That is why I would not pass up the free dessert. It cost $10.29 or some odd price. It is worth it though if you are a chocoholic like me.

After the gym today, I went to Sam's because it had been a long time since I had their rotisserie chicken. It is a deal for $4.98. I took my aunt some of it for her supper and I put mine over salad. I am thinking since it is going to rain tomorrow that I might make a chicken pot pie or maybe chicken salad. Either is pretty darn good.

Okay, I think that is all for tonight. heehee I am going to hop in bed and read. I almost did not want to stop reading on the treadmill today.

Everyone sleep well and have a wonderful Friday.

Oops, Just one more thing. . .

We're pretty much done, so I'm reclaiming who I am.
Been there done that. I am in the process too. It can be exciting and challenging.

I gave up wearing the kilt when I moved in here.
I think displaying your heritage is pretty darn cool. I actually knew a man that wore a kilt but it was because it was easier to go to the bathroom.
    1laugh.gif

the clothes I bought at age 35 still fit me! Whooo hooo!
I have and wear clothes even older than that. They have to dry rot or fall off of me before I get rid of things.

well move over and made room for me. heehee
    I look grumpy, I'm not.
You did look a bit "in charge" but definitely not grumpy. You almost inspired me to post a pic but then I chickened out and deleted them.

    Okay, not I'm really done.
