Good morning everyone

Bless your heart. What is the issue with it. I had my elbow operated on for Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. I always get weird things and why I quit going to doctors. They all like to dissect, schedule surgery, and leave their mark on me. View attachment 992122
Dr is going to remove a few bone chips and a bone spur, hopefully I will get my range of motion back.

    Morning Lurkers,
yesterday was pretty damn good. Met up with a GC (geocaching) player, and he watched as I hunted for an evil, camouflaged geocache he'd hidden. Very sneaky. He then produced the one tool I'd left behind, that was necessary for retrieval of the cache... a similar tool is now back in residence in my GC bag.
Said our goodbyes and I took off to find a couple more.. one to drop off a trackable game piece, and another couple just because. When I got to the second location (a birdwatching and nature reserve) I felt convinced that something was wrong with my car, as all I could hear was a high-pitched shrilling noise. Switched off the car, and opened the door, and the noise intensified.... FROGS! omg..Frogs in full mating song.... the sound completely drowning out even the noise of passing vehicles on the road.
They fell silent as I passed the lowland swamp that they were occupying, but as I made my way to the trail, and observation deck where the first cache was located, I was aware of another... group? pod?..what's the word for a buncha frogs? maybe a Croak?. Ascended the deck, located the cache, and sat in the sun to drink water, sign the logbook and bathe in the quiet (apart from the Frogs lol). I continued the half hour tramp around the reserve, enjoying the feeling that Spring is just around the corner...I could feel the gathering energy..the imminent budding and raising of sap. Then I stepped in deer scat and the moment was lost.
Leaving the preserve, I noticed something odd, and in closer inspection found a headstone set in the ground. Orval sure loved his dog.
I had planned to drive on, park up and hit a bunch more caches, but was distracted in town, missed the parking area and ended up wending my way home via the back roads, just enjoying the sunlight, crisp temperatures and pleasant afternoon. Good thing too, as it's cold, rainy and with a chance of snow today.

    Have a great day, Lurkers.

    Good evening everyone

Good idea, Joey. The roads are absolutely a mess here with another 4 inches on the way. Supposed to end up with 8.

I missed that that was your kitty, TARTARA. So pretty!!

Awww Kelt, poor Orval. 13 years is a win in my book. I dread the day our sweet Lucy crosses the bridge. With exception of the present the deer left for you to find, sounds like you had a really nice day!

    SMT, hope all is well!

Off to help dh with the stir fry :)

@JoeyC, there are ECF members using the AAEC banner and it is updating daily for them.

I would try deleting your existing signature entries and then re-add them with updated code from each site.

AAEC banner and the ECF banner.
Tried that a few times already with the ecf banner only in my sig or the aaec one. Neither updates for me.

I know that feeling. We narrowly avoided one crossing, but did have one of the pack cross last year. She was 15, and I'd been graced by her company for 9 of those. Chinook was a Great Pyrenees and well advanced. We miss her still, but the remaining 5 keep us on our toes!
Headed out for a quick GC stomp in a nearby town today. Chilly, blustery with a little hint of rain and snow. Had the trail to myself for the easy stuff, then headed out to another prairie observation deck, whereupon I was forced to get horizontal underneath it to locate the magnetic container that had been sneakily concealed. Muddy, and dirty, I'm sure I looked homeless, but I was not too upset... waxed cotton jackets don't look good if they look new LOL.

Getting back into a groove is sometimes difficult: shaking down the contents of the pack I carry, figuring out where everything goes for best storage and easy access, reacquainting myself with the phone app (I was a gps receiver user, but that is heavily geek these days).
Tomorrow is a coin flip day... I have GC buddies who are heading to a GC potluck, but it's an hour away, or I could use the new car doggy-hammock and take Fezzik on some trail or other and get lost with a furry buddy for an afternoon. The older I get, the more I value our canine companions' company... Vacation ends after the weekend, so time is short.

You'll hear a lot about Geocaching in the coming months, I apologize in advance. Fezzik is "my" dog (Named for the character played by Andre the Giant in "The Princess Bride") ..he and I have been on many hikes together, in snow, rain and blazing sunshine. He's a good boy, mostly. A bit like me.

Kelt I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Those furbabies are absolutely precious. I do recall The Princess Bride from my youth, but have fonder memories of Andre wrestling. Gentle giant. Though I’ve grown away from wwf/e and wcw.

Lucy will be 6 this year and her breed is known for a whole slew of problems. We’ve been extremely lucky.
