Good afternoon Dale, Rat2, Joey and Fran

Lovely breakfast, Dale :) Thank you.

Sounds like a good morning for Dan. Sorry you are getting a lot of rain, Rat2.

Dh and I went and got some flowers for our flower pots. Tested the pool water and the chem levels are decent. Had to turn the heater on though, only 70.

Currently 78 outside with a real feel of 90.

    In your nightmares
    Smart dog

Kind of angry, I had 2 racks of ribs each vac packed from the store. Both packages the seal leaked and were bad. I waited to put the brisket on the smoker that will not be done until later tonight. So home made pizza for dinner unless I can get some ambition to go to the store for something else. Eh I don’t know my daughter is absolutely no help in that department

Ugh Joey, that really stinks. I’m sorry. Nothing wrong with pizza ;) although, totally get the disappointment factor.

It’s good that you found that out quickly, Dale…..before he steals your dinner off the counter/table etc lol

We had Italian sausage with peppers/onions and finished up the sides from Saturday. I wanted to take kiddo to the drugstore to purchase father’s day cards before they are all picked over. Told Dh he could come too but he had to stay in the car and then we stopped for ice cream on the way home.

The pizza was really good, my daughter had fun helping with the toppings. Brisket is still on the smoker for a few more hours.

Work schedule usually changes around Father’s Day weekend

I see Dale chasing that pooch around the house with dinner in it’s mouth

Hey all. Yesterday was another busy day in the attic. I have one small corner gone through. It is taking a really long time because I took extra time to read letters, diaries, calendars, etc.

It made me nostalgic and at times quite sad. I have found things that I have never seen also. That's pretty cool. For example, I was young when my father was shot at (he was a policeman, I think I told y'all that, not sure)

Well, anyway, I found the newspaper article that had his picture and what happened. It said the bullet missed wounding him by a fraction of an inch, which it did. He was a plainclothes detective. The bullet went through his lapel and out of the necktie. The tie is somewhere around here but I can't remember if it was the top or bottom flap of his tie. I am sure either one was a little too close for his liking.

bullet.jpg I don't know if y'all can read that but you can tell he was young in the picture.

Gosh, I could tell y'all some crazy stories about him as a policeman. I miss taking him out to the police club because I loved listening to all those o'l farts tell their stories. They could remember job-related stories better than they could what they had for supper the night before.

I found a picture of my grandmother and her high school memory book that she never really finished. She was voted the most bashful in her senior class. I thought that was cute.

Oh well, I will not post pics of everything I find but just thought I'd share a little bit. I have only just begun and it is overwhelming, to say the least. I will take it one day at a time. (until I get tired and then I'm just gonna toss every like a wild woman) heehee

Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day. Sleep well and have a great Tuesday.

    Good morning lurkers

Lolz! That would be a sight for sure. Paco running around with a steak or a whole rotisserie chicken in his mouth. I’m thinking it would slow him down though ;) I could see him being quite the determined lil fellow though.

Uggg….I forgot about your schedule change. 12 hour days, Joey? :(

Wow, Rat2. That is a cool piece of history. Glad he wasn’t severely injured. Love your grandma’s picture.

    Have a great day!!
