I know it was a joke when I said my lawn mower was possessed by my father because I was letting another man drive it but. . . this weekend, the new clutch literally blew up. This makes the 3rd time it has broken down. When from 2006-2024 with absolutely no issues. I know it is older but it only has 572 hours on it. Oh well, only one thing to do and that is to fix it, although goats are still an option. heehee

My cousin drove my aunt halfway to to her sons house because she wanted to help him clean up after a hurricane hit his property. Yes, the aunt who will be 92 in December. She worked her b u t t off. She was ready to come home and my cousin told her that her car had made a weird noise and she did not want to drive it on the highway. Out of 2 daughters, a grandson and a great granddaughter, guess who they asked to come and get her? Well at least her son brought her halfway so I only had to drive 160 miles to get her and I did not mind at all because she wanted to come home. She missed her cat and I can understand that. Needless to say, I am her favorite at the moment. heehee

One good thing, Perry talked me into driving his Lexus and I was amazed at how comfy it was and my Sciatica did not bother me near as bad as it does in my Honda CRV. It must get pretty good gas mileage also because I drove there and back on one tank of gas. The little gas light did come one as I was headed to Sam's to fill up and I was grateful that I made it.

Okey dokey, I am head back to my house (in the Lexus) and I am going to try to get some stuff done around there. I sure have not been at home much. Yay!

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Oh I did have my physical and I liked Perry's recommendation for a new doctor. I have been trying to get my doctor to take me off two medications for two years and she always talked me into staying on it but this doctor said sure and if I noticed any issues all I had to do is call her and she would put me right back on what I was taking.

I asked her to only run the necessary blood test because I did not have insurance and she was nice about that also. Her office is only 13 miles away from me so that is not too bad considering I like her. I went ahead and transferred my medical records to her so I was pleased.

Thank goodness that is over. I hate going to the doctor especially when they make you get on those darn scales. The good news is my scales at home where the same and the bad news is I have gained 20 pounds since last August. I need to get back eating right and walking. Of course the Ahi Tuna at the Moose Lodge last night was delicious. heehee

Burgers on the grill last night. Yum. Mine had red juice running out of it so I put it in the microwave for just a minute. Perry thought that was just crazy. I'm sorry, I have read too much about ecoli in hamburger. I like my steaks real pink in the middle but not my burgers. I could only eat half the backed potato and I made deviled eggs because we both like them. He could not eat the salad but I have been missing salads so I ate all of mine.

The weather has turned absolutely beautiful. The high humidity has gone and just warm sunny days are here and I hope they stay for a while. Like maybe 360 days. heehee Perry finished the project he has been working on so much. I think he said he had 69 hours on his paycheck. I am glad that part is over because he needs to relax a little.

The seller wanted me to return the clutch that was in fifty-eleven pieces even though I sent him a picture. I guess I can understand why. I was happy that it only cost $23 to send it back. It was $4.55 more because I requested someone sign for the box. I was not going to let him say that I could not get my refund because he never got it. I've always said I was smarter than I looked. heehee Oh well, the new part is supposed to be in next week. It hurt to the tune of $700 but I feel better and think that this will fix my problem. A lot to be said about replacing parts with the parts from the original manufacturer. Exmark does love their stuff.

Friday again. Whew! What another fast week for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Good evening Fran and Rat2.

. Pretty quiet day for me then DH offered to buy supper and who am I to deny him
    ;)
. We had fried fish and sides.

Fran we haven’t eaten the pork roast yet but but I’m sure it will be great, I’ll probably make half bbq’ed and gravy for the other half.
