In your nightmares
That is definitely no kind of healthy work conditions. Bless your heart. I'd carry a spray bottle and have a fan hanging around my neck. Or maybe just a fan because I imagine you are sweating profusely. I hope it cools down for you. View attachment 1029622
I knew what I was signing up for when I accepted the job, plus they pay me well

Hope the dr’s get Perry the right meds and get him well soon!!
Not much a company can do with something like that other than install bigger fans. Cooling down a multi-thousand square foot warehouse type building is cost prohibitive.

@JoeyC check into one of these yet? https://coolify.torraslife.com/collections/neck-air-conditioner
Thanks I will think about this they are pretty expensive 1 would not be enough

Happy the fix for your car didn’t empty your wallet, Dale. Not much to report here other than work is still crazy and I’m whooped

All this talk about auto repair just reminded me I need to whip over to the Ford stealership and make an appointment for some warranty work. Nothing critical, but it's something I should get done. Have an in cabin air filter I need to replace, too. Car isn't as fresh as it could be.

Will probably get some range time in this week for the new job. That starts on the 17th with uniform issue and then range requalification on the 18th. Having one hell of a time getting acclimatized to sleeping through the night. I've worked nights for nearly 20 years now and trying to get back on a "normal" schedule is proving difficult. I may have to see the doc about getting something to knock me out at night. Melatonin isn't helping in that regard.

Good morning, all. I woke up early and took a walk before it got too hot. It was enjoyable.

Other than being tired of all the doctor appointments, Perry is doing really well. The shoulder gets better every day. I am so proud of him because he has not smoked or vaped in 10 days. I was not vaping around him, but he said it did not bother him. He still says vaping is just as bad as smoking, and wants me to quit. I told him I would consider that when I schedule my pacemaker. I do honestly feel like it would be easier to stop vaping than it was smoking.

I have received two quotes on some tree cutting, stump removal, and hauling off what Duke Power left in my yard. (which still burns my tookus) One quote was $2800, and one was $1750. Big difference and a no-brainer. Guess that will be done soon. The yard is starting to look pretty good to me. I think it will help the resale value, maybe.

We have another doctor's visit today. This is only with his family doctor for some bloodwork/checkup. He could have been two weeks further in his recovery if she had sent him to the doctor when his heart rate was 43. Oh well, not my call, but I am going to find a new doctor.

Perry was so worried about what his co-pay would be on his shots for weight loss. I went to pick it up, and he was elated that it was $0. I think it is really helping him and he has had no side effects.

I ate at my first Vietnamese restaurant for lunch yesterday. It was so good and I can't wait to go back. I had a lunch special of beef and green beans, and it was yummy.

Hope everyone has a wonderful days and stays cool.

Even as old as I am, I have never heard "stealership". Boy, have truer words ever been spoken? I think not.

I took my CRV for a recall and they fixed it and found $1600 in repairs I needed to do. I took it to my mechanic friend, and he said everything was fine and not to worry. There's proof. I don't like dealerships.
