Another week done and things are smoothing out rather nicely. Alerts are down under 10%, and hopefully in another week or so, we'll have that to under 5%. Not bad when we're scanning on average 20,000 individuals in a given day. Now the OT starts as football season begins. That's going to be interesting as I expect more than a few adults to balk at being told they have to walk through the scanners.

Yup. Unfortunately my work schedule doesn't allow me to get any OT during the week. However, there are some Saturday events on the horizon and I get first dibs on those spots. Time and a half at my current rate will be a very welcome addition to the monthly check.

The temps have been lower this week, but we sure need some rain.

We went to the Moose yesterday afternoon, and Perry mowed for them, and I did the weed-eating and blowing off everything. We were too tired and dirty to eat there last night. I didn't have to pay for my tea, though. Yay! Used all four batteries and still needed a little more. Next, I should take my backpack blower. It would have helped.

Perry got my yard mowed today, and he went to his house to mow. I decided to go get my nails done. I need to treat myself every now and then. My nails are so brittle, so it is nice to have them fixed and stronger.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

    Good morning lurkers :)
Have a mid-morning dr appointment for yearly lab work then watching Kalli and Lupin from 3 to 7 this afternoon/evening . Not really my idea of a day of rest but you gotta do what ya’ gotta do right. ;)

DIL is having a pacemaker installed today.

    Good morning Dale

Sending good thoughts for your DIL surgery. (((Hugs))) Have fun with the kiddies!
Good afternoon Sara. Surprised to see you this morning! I had a dr appointment that ran on a little long. Just yearly lab work for prescription refills but today took forever.
It’s raining and quite cool today.

All jokes aside, isn't it wonderful what can help people so much? I hope she gets along as well as Perry. I can tell the biggest difference in him. He feels so much better. Sending good thoughts to your DIL.

We bought a bushel of green beans yesterday, so we have been canning today. Oh my gosh, they are so good. Going to be even better this winter.

It is a lot of work, but so worth it.

It has been absolutely beautiful today, but I only went out to feed the deer. I hurt my back the other day, and then yesterday, when we came to Perry's, I tripped and fell on his rock driveway. I hate that I fell on my knee that I had surgery on, but it is just a little sore. The palm of my right hand is bruised, but it will feel better soon, too. I am grateful, though, because it could have been a lot worse.

I am the clumsiest person you will ever hear about (and the luckiest, sometimes).
