My friend Cindy lost her father-in-law this week, and I also found out today that a man I met in TN had also passed. They were so sweet to me. Even though I have not been back to TN, I still keep in touch with his wife. He had been sick for a good while, but I thought he was doing better. I wish I had known sooner because I would have gone to his funeral. I guess she has been so busy that she didn't text me.

I am getting to the age where I am losing friends and family. Even people I went to high school with. It is very sad, but a part of life. It does remind me that every day is precious.

Well, we got the last of the canning done today. I can't believe it is already Friday again. I have been lying around all evening. We finally got a little bit of rain. Not much, though. We sure could use some more.

I think Perry wanted to go to the Moose for supper tonight, but I was not feeling it. Instead, I cleaned out the fridge and heated leftovers. I hate to waste anything so I am glad we ate them. Not to mention, it was easy peasy.

Hugs to all.

Oh, and my sort of new laptop did the same thing it did before, and would not turn on. I gave it a couple of days to rest, but today I went to BestBuy and bought a new one. It is the first time I have been disappointed in a refurbished product from Amazon. I decided that for me, a new one would do better. My electronics are very important to me.

Chromebook? If so, there's a special key sequence that you can press when it flat refuses to turn on. Hold the reset key while pressing the power button. Should boot right up.

Yeah, I tried that one. There are a couple more I have not tried yet ( Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r) . The last time it did this, it just rested for a week and then turned on. Now it might not do that this time. Go figure.

I am very pleased with the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus, but it is more than what I really needed. Beautiful display and light/thin. Almost too light.

Good morning, Dale well, afternoon now

It would have been morning had I not spent the last half hour in search of the mouse for my laptop. Not only did I knock my iced cappuccino on the rug but I stirred up the dust bunnies under the bed and now I can't stop sneezing. Guess I can add that to my list of things to do. Ohhhh and where did my mouse turn up? Hooked up to DH's laptop. Apparently it slipped his mind to let me know, as if he couldn't hear me tearing the bedroom apart. :sneaky: Now he owes me another cappuccino and has to finish cleaning the first one off the floor.

Cool and rainy here also.

Rat2, that is insane about the repair guys. And incredibly rude to speak in Spanish in front of you. I would have sent them packing as well.

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Boy, do we need it. Other than being so sore, it is nice and dark, and a wonderful day to stay in the bendy bed. Perry got his yard mowed before the rain

I tried the new laptop for two days, but I just didn't like it. Returned it this morning and bought the one I originally went after. So far, I am liking it. Yay, again.

We went to the Moose last night and they had shrimp enchiladas. I did not think I would care for them, but they were delicious. Every bite had shrimp. We also took some of Perry's salsa so that made it awesome too. Everyone around us tried it and said it was the best they had ever eaten. We came home with an empty jar. Perry needs to make some more.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday. Hugs to all.

Good evening Sara and Rat2. It’s been a nice day, DS and family all came for a short visit, it was good to see them all. Lupin is going to walking in no time! Rachel (DIL) is feeling fine and looking good.

Sorry about your drink Sara, not sure which was worse, the loss of your beverage or your DH making off with your mouse

I’ve done the same thing in past with computers Rat2, we like what we like ;)
