Hey all. I had a wonderful motorcycle trip to Blowing Rock. It was gorgeous even though the leaves were not changing yet. I would love to go back. I really liked his friends, but he did not tell me they lived in a 5,000 sq. ft. house. OMG, it was so beautiful (nothing I would ever want to clean). They showed me a video of a baby bear on their back porch, so needless to say, I did not go out there by myself. I will say that I was not very fond of the 22 steps that I had to climb up and down. I was very thankful that I did not fall. I hate steps. Perry said we could leave for the beach tomorrow if I wanted to. I am not sure I am over the other trip.

Had to make an appointment with the doctor because she would not refill my thyroid meds. Grrrr It is what it is. At least I have insurance now. That is wonderful. I have a bruise the size of a fifty-cent piece. Not sure exactly what the girl did wrong. I never have any issues.

Have a great weekend all!

Good morning Dale and Fran

Sorry about your run in with the rooster lol He definitely would have been fried whatever if it were me. ohh who am I kidding, I would have run away screaming like a little girl.

Rat2, your trip sounds lovely minus the steps.

We helped my parents move some furniture out yesterday and then made a drive to the Corning Glass Museum. My mom has wanted to go with kiddo for forever, so we finally can cross that off our list. We got to see a water pitcher blown. It was pretty neat. The whole family went, so that was nice but it was a long day.

Hate that it's already Sunday. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Hope you all are having a lovely Sunday!

Welp, it was bad. Wheel bearing is fine. Transfer case, on the other hand, is buggered up pretty good. Car goes back in tomorrow morning and I'll be without it for a few days. That's provided they don't find more stuff once they start pulling parts to get to it. **sigh**

Love my AWD car. But man, it hurts when something goes wrong with it and I can't do the wrenching on it.

Sorry to hear that retired :( There’s not much more that upsets me than having to deal with vehicle repairs. And there’s so much more that goes wrong with today’s cars and trucks.

We had a loud non-productive storm last night. Fingers crossed we eventually get a decent rain.

Yeah.. Lot's of show, no results here, too. As much as I hate driving in the rain around here (people get really stoooooopid) we do need it.

Ugh sorry to hear it’s the same for you, hopefully we’ll eventually get our share!

    Good morning Dale

Gosh I don't think I've ever seen it so quiet in here.

Not too much going on here. No plans this weekend, so i can get some stuff done around the house. I like them kind. lol

Got the email to order kiddo's cap and gown yesterday. Of course, this sap teared up. 1 month pretty much done and 9 left to go. Making some progress towards the college decisions. He's added a third school to his options. Can't believe he will be 17 next week.

hope you have a wonderful day!

    Hey Sara.
Yep, our thread is going the way 99% do, slowly dying. We had a good run though.
We’ve been to town, basically entertaining Bela, she’s here since Thursday night and staying until Monday. She just turned 15 herself.

Sorry you’re grieving about the boy growing up, happens to the best of us ;)

**sigh** Car should have been done two days ago, but when they put in the replacement part, it was in worse shape than the one they took off the car (the joys of remanufactured parts). So they had to send it back and order another. I'm sorely tempted to have them cancel that order and get a new OEM part from Ford, but I'm saving a rather sizable chunk of change by going this route (new part is nearly 1600, remanufactured part is 900).

Busy week last week. I think all the kids district wide had their heads firmly planted somewhere where they can't see. Our alarm rates were quite a bit higher than usual. We've been at this for over a month and a half now and they know what they're supposed to do before going through the scanners. Heard one of the staff members mumbling something about using a taser for those that consistently ignore the rules and screw up the stats. **snicker**
