Mornin' all. A balmy 56 right now with a forecast high of 83 again. The warmer weather has definitely lead to an explosion of bugs. The skeeters were out in force last night, and it also appears there's been an explosion of crickets. Was kinda nice to hear them last night as I fell asleep.

Warm today, going to be in the 70’s sadly. Cloudy but chances for rain have been pushed into next week.

I remember once when I was a kid the whole family was up in the middle of the night chasing down a cricket in the house. I of course couldn’t hear it but the ruckus of 3 other people up sure got my attention

Yeah, our rain chances are supposedly on the rise next week, but from what I'm seeing, the chances are pretty slim. Hopefully I'm wrong as we need it pretty badly. And with it getting warm so early, drought conditions are probably going to get worse as this year wears on. And the thing that really grinds my gears is you see so many businesses and apartment complexes with poorly aimed sprinkler systems that spray water away from the grass. Not to mention they're running them during the day, which is a huge no-no down here.
