Mornin' all.

Another week comes to a close and just 5 more weeks to go before we kick the little trouble makers out for the summer. While we won't get the entire summer off (we're back in training by mid-July) I'm definitely looking forward to the break.

I’m sure you’re ready for a nice, long break retired.

I am MORE than ready!

I think the biggest thing I'm looking forward to is two months of not having to kit up every day. By the time the end of the week rolls around during the school year, my body is clamoring for relief (that gear gets heavy after a while!). I'm just thankful that we don't have to gear up like our Guardians do. They wear plate armor and it's HEAVY!

Mornin' all.

I don't know where the hell Moses is standing, but he needs to get the hell out of town. It seems that since the beginning of the year, every time a really decent rain front aims itself at the neighborhood, it splits just as it arrives and we don't get squatums as far as rain is concerned. Was just watching the radar and thought "Finally!". Nope...... Split right before hitting and went around via North and South. ARGH!

Bet you feel light as a feather when you take that stuff off retired!

Not so much that as it is that huge breath of relief once it's all off. One of these days I need to weigh myself fully kitted out to find out how much it all weighs.

Mornin' all.

48 here right now with a forecast high of 74. Pretty nice day shaping up. Got woken up by an exploding transformer behind the house. Oh joy! And still no power. Tablet doesn't need wifi to connect to the internet, so as long as I can supply power to the tablet when it gets low, no problem! (And yes, I have 3 portable batteries that I can use to recharge the tablet and phone.)
