And on a related note, does anyone know how to clean a straw hat? My "el cheapo" one is pretty bad. Can't do much about the rusty grommets, but there's some serious grunge and grime that needs some attention.

You could try a trick for cleaning plastic plants, put the hat in a bag with some salt and shake it until clean.
