I smooth my Fusion slots with an emery board PI. I do like the Fusions better but I had to wait on some more SS ones. I was being lazy about removing the labels from the black ones

You should of said something Bo. Fusions is one thing I have girl.:):):)

BTW That's a classy 9/11 avatar you have there.

That's another reason I don't use LRs on a VV or HV device. If it stresses the batteries what am I inhaling into my lungs? batteries are made of chemicals too.

Wow I haven't heard of this 5C. You think can get you battery chemicals in your lungs? (that's scary!!!!) Or are you saying higher amperage could affect juice reaction. I thought 8 watts is 8 watts and that LR's higher amperage draw just shortens a battery's lifespan.

I've been dripping almost exclusively for 2 months and primarily with LR 306's. Iv'e tried every every IKV HV except the 901's and can't find anything to match. I just got the new 510 HV and some more I06's (not good luck the first batch, soapy and very tight draw). Half a day on the 510 pretty good, but not as good as the 306. I'm giving it time and hopefully this will work great.

I didn't get that taste after awhile. I don't know if your getting chemicals in your lungs from batteries or not. What I do know is LR stresses the batteries. Batteries are made from chemicals. When they are stressed it is a chemical reaction that is going on and they're producing more heat. So if all that's going on it makes sense that some fumes must be coming off somewhere. I've done a lot of research or reading on battery chemistry and from what I've read it stresses your batteries when you have a higher than normal wattage draw. Every ecig stresses their battery but not as bad as when the wattage is higher than the norm. Beings I don't know positively if it's harmful I can't say but I do know Possitively that using LR on HV or VV mods causes a lot of stress to the batteries and the possibility of some gasses being emitted from them so that's just another reason I don't use them. Besides I burn't up 3 sets of 16340 3.7 volt batteries using them. That was all the proof I needed. I realize some of my friends that are vendors sell them but I can't with a clear conscious back them.

I thought 8 watts is 8 watts and that LR's higher amperage draw just shortens a battery's lifespan.
.
If it's shortening the life span what else is it doing in the prcess?

Iv'e been lucky, I have 2 sets of Gray's and 2 sets of Flame's and they're going strong. I am not so much concerned with a batteries lifespan, but I do worry about gasses.

I hope I can find a HV or SR that will do it for me. Sashwa sent me some IKV SR 510 that ok and they're coming out with new SR 510's. I just haven't found anything as good as generic RL 306's....... for me.

I must be lucky (knock on wood) I have been using my Liquinators for a couple of months and never had any leaking from either one. I mostly use my slotted Fusions but if I'm lazy I'll use the slotted boge that comes with the tank.

Minx are you using the DCs?

Nope I use fusions, my husband slits them or punches them for me. I have one that doesn't leak.. one that does (both liquinators). I got replacement O rings and changed them out, it helped. My husband said it looks as if on the leaky one, the ridge that the Orings (inner and outer) weren't machined as well, they are a little off. I tried the dc that came with the tank, I didn't like it as much as a fusion or boge, so I put it aside.

Nothing beats a fusion in a carto tank IMO...give the lr fusions a try too...wow the vapor is fantastic and so is the flavor. I don't care about TH but it's there.

As for the battery gasses, wouldn't we smell something if the batteries were emitting any type of gas? I've never smelled anything "off" before. I've been around car batteries that shorted out and there is definitely an oder bad enough to make you cough and have your eyes water. Would our batteries be equivalent to something like a car battery as far as chemical composition goes? I'm not too literate when it comes to batteries. I know what to use in what and if they get hot, chuck them outside...that's the extent of what I know about them. I've read the battery 101 thread but it totally confused the tar out of me.

i just got some i06's iken's.... closest thing to an analog is a good description! i got the 1.8's and have ordered the 3.0 to try too. you have to get their d/t for it... wonder how it would fit on the VVPV

oops wrong thread... did you get the VVPV #2 yet Wharf?

I figured out a way to get the glue off relatively easy. I ran the carto under hot water and rubbed off as much of the glue as possible. After that I took a sharp knife and scraped more off until it wasn't sticky anymore. Then I used fine grit sandpaper to clean it completely. Sounds like a bit of work but it's not too bad. My supplier was sold out on SS so I had to go the sticker'd route. Sandpaper alone didn't work out like I'd thought it would. I ended up with a sand coated carto.

I have a few of those that are worthless with the black wallpaper on them. Just how tenacious is the glue that holds them in place?

Edit: Now I feel like a fool, having not noticed that M0dr0d posted an answer minutes before I asked it.

PI Iv'e tried most of IKV atty's, most off them before I figured out how to drip (it only took me 10 months ) I pulled out my HV mini 801 and Cannon. Both OK though the Cannon gives me a burn at the back of my throat, not that dry burnt taste but a burn.

Iv'e been an hour on a new HV I06 and it's working well so far. A little tighter than I would like but no soap, good favor and good temperature.
