Who is this sophia and where do i learn more?

Here is a thread that technonut started in the ProVari subforum specifically on the Sophia: The Sophia Atomizer by Leo

There is also a much longer and more active thread started by the manufacturer (byLeo), but that thread includes info on the other items he makes as well in addition to the Sophia. Still, if you are interested, there is a ton of great info there on the Sophia as well: By Leo: Attys, mods, drip tips and tanks

Note - there was an AMP tank in the classies a day or two ago...

I'm just shifting to tanks now, and I don't like rebuilding anything, so I'm straight carto. Haven't decided on best performance yet, I've got IKV, Boge and Smok all lined up to try out. So far, I think the Ikenvapes may be best, but it'll be a while til I'm certain...

I've got IBTanked; one haven't-used-it-yet tank from VapeRev, and 3 different Kir Fanis tanks.
I've got to say I'm totally happy with the KirF's and will probably stick with them for a while!!

No fire whatsoever. Just the Kanthal ready wire, organic cotton ball, and an unfolded large paperclip.

This is GREAT to hear because I was thinking the Sophia wasn't for me yet. Those guys on that thread were talking WAY above my head, which isn't hard to do. I'm short

KirF's are nice, really nice. I have many. BUT, until I find a glass tube for it I can't choose the KirF's over the SnP.

Even the pmma tubes are showing small signs of decay.

Wow, not good. KirF's were on my list too. :(

EDIT- do u vape a lot of known tank killers? I realize these should be able to hold up but maybe over time it's too much for them? Just trying to figure out why this would happen

Short answer. No.

I've checked the known tank cracking threads I've found and none of the juices I've used in poly(or any plastic) tanks are listed but it's impossible to have comprehensive list or for that list to stay current. Too many juices coming out too fast with more and more varied ingredients so it's hard to tell if there is a citrus or other tank cracking ingredient. I have too many juices and switch often so It's just nice to have tanks that you don't have to worry about.

It doesn't take long for tanks to crack. It can be hours or, for clearos, minutes for them to fail.

Since you asked about carto tanks my choice would be Phiniac or MAP tanks with an Ikenvape or Boge carto.
Some folks like the Bella tanks, several places make artisan / one off hand blown / decorated tanks.

If I had the time or inclination to fiddle with a rebuildable I'd fiddle with Sophia and slip her in a Phinny.

There isn't because of the threading on the part. Can't do that threading on glass. Probably why they include the metal tank section.

Thanks man. That's what I assumed, but I figured if there was one you might know about it. I like to see my juice, but it's not that important I suppose.

When I get a mod that is new or a bit unusual, I take it to my local vape shop so everyone can see it. One of the workers there takes it immediately into the back to show it off to the rest of the staff. They always knows it's mine cuz it has an IBTanked on it (doesn't much matter what it is).

For my ProVaris, it's 22mm XL IBTanked. My bronze/green has Old Gold caps and IBTipsy tips (I have all 3). My silver satin and black get all different tanks. A ProRing completes the look.

I have 9 IBTanked, so I would have to say they are my favorite.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
My favorite tanks are my Phiniacs. I have IBTanked and Cirrus tanks in the rotation but my Phiniacs with the plain black caps are my babies.

I like flanged cartomizers because I haven't mastered the art of using the unflanged ones without making a giant mess. I think the Ikenvapes are a tad better than the Smoktechs and I'm still testing slotted vs small punch vs large punch. I know that I get less refills on my mega/xl cartomizers than I do on my regular length ones but I'm not sure why.

These days I like the least amount of effort required in keeping my devices vape-ready. I still haven't been motivated to wrap any coils.
