I am sorry to say that we lost the black lab mix today. She suddenly collapsed and had to be put to sleep. We spent 13 years together and she will be deeply missed.

We buried my Grandfather on Friday. It's been a devastating week. Her buddy is very depressed, looking out the window, waiting.

I know some of the new volties have pets. They might enjoy seeing the pets of other volties and want to share pics of theirs. This thread was buried way back where no one probably goes anymore. lol Just thought I'd bump it up front for awhile. I always enjoyed this thread too and looked forward to seeing new posts in it.

Worse. I had to wait until the last two passed away (Aug. 2011 and February 2012) before I could begin the process of fixing up the house and moving. They were both 17+ years old.

Here's a shot of me and Bomani from early this spring. We adopted him from the original breeder after being told by a pet resuce agency that we couldn't handle a doberman since it was "too big for us". I'll never forget my wife's comment as we pulled into the driveway when we brought him home...."We need a bigger house!" Bo is a South African Boerboel, in the Mastiff family, which means "farm dog". His name translates from South African as "warrior". He's a big .....cat, 160 pounds worth, unless someone comes on our property or to the door, then he does become that warrior.
