My key gripe with all genesis type mods is that they leak juice out when kept lying down. I have had 3 ml of juice empty into my bed and pocket quite a few times from various mods. Dunno if others face this issue too.

Is the Strata going to alleviate this in any way?

I hate leaks for sure!!
Always a gripe of mine when a PV leaks.

Where do they leak out of? By this, i mean, do they leak out through the Tip or out the top cap seam or ? Its fair to say they initially keep wicking out of the wick, but after that, where are you experiencing it leaking out of the unit?

normally it is out of the fill and or air holes. This is the main/one drawback to these devices normally. Not as pocket friendly as some of us would like.

out of the holes into the caps and into our pockets. :)

Agree. Pocket friendly is important for spending days out of the house. I typically have paper towels on hand for such spills. But doesn't always help.

In my experience with Genisis mods the leaks typically come from the air inlet. For example both G-tanks have this issue to some degree. Never owned a Line so I can't comment on that. With my ScubaGen V3 Original it'll leak around the top cap O-ring or sometimes out of the air inlet as well. The small leaks are one thing. I have had problems with liquid running out of the tank, either from the re-fill port or from around the wick hole but this requires a certain horizontal angle for it to happen.

I have 4 Genisis LV. The tank sits above the wick. In use since Febuary as the only one I use as a extream vaper.
Not one leak to date! I also have not read about any yet. I let them on the side all the time or stand upright very often.
Only overnight I have it up side down because I prefill them for the next day because I am just more at ease that way.
I think to recall that the Genisis first version was also with the tank like the "line" "gtus" and others but was changed to the current version with top tank because of the leaking.
Just as info meant:toast:

I've had my Zenesis AYS for 2 weeks now, and it does leak if given half a chance....i.e. being laid over on it's side. This fact of life was discussed in the Zenesis thread so I expected it. I just wasn't expecting to fall asleep with it in my hand one evening only to wake up to an empty tank and Gorilla Juice on my shirt and jeans. Live and learn... No big deal. Would it be nice to have a device that would not do that.... Of course it would.

My DiDs don't leak when I put the PV on the side or upside down. I am hoping this one wouldn't either.

+1 on solving the leaking problem! My vapes go everywhere with me, and while I try to be nice to them they are frequently at funny angles or shaken for hours at a time. This will be my first genesis mod so I haven't tried it yet, but I heard that taking some mesh wick and stuffing the other holes will help.

Even better would be to use something similar to Raidy's new design with the wick under the tank!

The juice leaks from the wick and or refilling hole into the atty chamber. Then if you are unlucky and have the air inlet hole pointed down while laying it down, the juice flows out of the air inlet hole. Especially if it's lying on fabric. This has happened to me multiple times with my Zenesis and my Orion. I thought sealing out the airflow from the mouthpiece end would help, so I tried using a carto cap to seal out the mouthpiece hole, and tested by deliberately lying it down and it still leaked. And by leak I don't mean a few drops. The whole tank empties for me in a matter of 5 mins! I use 50/50 PG/VG juice so it's not a very thin juice either. This is my key gripe with the genesis design.

I think everything leaks to some degree, the thing is what you class as a leak. I shudder to think back to my old 801 but that thing was utterly incontinent. I think most genny 'leaking' is actually due to condensation build-up in the atty chamber and don't see much that can be done about that TBH..

I think 3ml of juice in my pocket and an empty tank classifies as a leak in all definitions :D. No I don't mean the slight leaking from condensation I mean that a full tank empties in a few minutes in certain positions.

"G" or Genisis by Persis just won't leak no matter what; a very solid, perfect re-buildable atty IMO. It's just tight and wicking is perfect !!!

Prototipo Genesis Nº 1.avi - YouTube

I am hoping David's is similar, maybe more on the tech/ advance side, so to speak; yet more user-friendly at the same time (plug-and-play!?) !!! Keeping my fingers crossed; and hopefully David will deliver, as always...!

It is only like the Genesis atomizer in that the tank is below the heating elements and it wicks up, otherwise, the fill hole is plugged and i may even eleminate it from the final version as this tank is unique among all rebuildable atomizer tanks in that you can remove the entire top, coils and all to fill/dump/clean also, it differs in another major way in that the air inlet(s) are at the top of the cap and the air outlets are at the bottom of the heating elements. It does not use side or bottom air inlets as i've seen on most designs, so though it may not be completely inpervious to leaking, it is much more resistant then most designs i've encountered.

Plugging the other holes for me ruins the flavor and the vapor. Some of mine come with a screw for the fill hole - I remove it as flavor is impaired IMO.
I dont pinch the top of wick as I dont like that either.

Just cant lay them down flat unless the juice level is down below the mesh and fill hole.
