Anyone tell me if there is a waiting list or first come first serve?

Why even put a sight glass in the tank? I know to see the juice level. I would think once you get the dreaded dry hit you would know it's time to fill the tank or check for problems. I'm not knocking it, just curious. I would not buy a Bugatti and insists on cup holders either.

I feel like David said something about being able to replace the sight glass fairly easy but maybe I am crossing threads. Either way I would guess that there are more people that prefer it than dont but I could obviously be wrong. I think I like the sight glass, its just an easy way to see if you got enough juice for the day when you leave in the morning but I guess its personal preference. I would buy it either way though.

Personally I think the sight glass is key. When I'm leaving the house for a while I like to check how much juice is left! Typically the choice is between bomber steel tanks and fragile glass or quartz tanks.

I have been hoping for someone to come up with a solution that combined the best of both styles, and I should have known David would be the one!

Now all I need is a switch that doesn't let fine dust and sand into it and combined with the threaded on top this unit should stand up to camping in the desert :)

Thank you all. Nice to hear others opinions on the sight glass. I know of two ways other than sight glass to know how much juice is in a tank and neither one requires all the extra machining for a sight glass. The more difficult of the two is weighting the PV with no juice. Then weight one ml of juice. The other is ... Wait I'm not on payroll.

I'm hoping these will be easily replaced and use some kind of locking nut instead of wrapping the kanthan around wire leads.

Though i'm keeping the internals under "wrap" until release, i can tell you it will be a very user friendly design and securely held, not by wrapping around a post.
