I think 3ml of juice in my pocket and an empty tank classifies as a leak in all definitions . No I don't mean the slight leaking from condensation I mean that a full tank empties in a few minutes in certain positions.

It is only like the Genesis atomizer in that the tank is below the heating elements and it wicks up, otherwise, the fill hole is plugged and i may even eleminate it from the final version as this tank is unique among all rebuildable atomizer tanks in that you can remove the entire top, coils and all to fill/dump/clean also, it differs in another major way in that the air inlet(s) are at the top of the cap and the air outlets are at the bottom of the heating elements. It does not use side or bottom air inlets as i've seen on most designs, so though it may not be completely inpervious to leaking, it is much more resistant then most designs i've encountered.

Wow! The airflow system is sounding more and more interesting! I agree, repositioning the air inlet to the top will eliminate my leaking problem as the leaking I mentioned happens only when the side hole is facing down. Bravo!

Ok now I am twice as excited as before!

David, since you have thought a lot about the airflow, I feel compelled to ask, have you considered some kind of juice flow control like those in the GG Odysseus and Penelope? Someway to probably seal out the juice when not in use?

Sure Maz was just venting my annoyance due to leaked juice . And yeah I agree, everything leaks or can leak a little. Cartos probably leak the least but we all know how sucky they taste . however I do believe good design can alleviate the problem substantially.

Something to consider is that in many Genesis mods, the fill hole doubles as an air inlet. In order for juice to wick properly, air has to be able to get into the juice resevoir. If you seal the tank airtight, your wick won't wick properly. So how do you let air in without letting liquid out? Unless you can solve this brain teaser, you'll probably either have leaks or poor wicking.

I say try it sealed and see whether you agree. If wicking is an issue, then consider adding a thin chamber between the tank and the heater with a hole in the top and bottom, but the two holes on opposing sides of the PV (180° apart).

I think there may be some misunderstandings regarding the Strata, though it shares a few things in common with the Genesis (notably the juice resevoir being below the heating elements rather then above), the Strata is also radically different in several aspects, so comparing the two won't yield apples to apples comparison. I am confident that my design will minimize any leakage and auto feed reliably

I recently grabbed a Precise 18500 from a local shop and love the machining on it. Will be patiently waiting for the Strata. Looks very promising and though I haven't gone through this whole thread. I do look forward to it.
