By cutting the tube short inside the cup... What I don't know is would that leave enough air flow and surface area to A produce enough vapor and B to to get any kind of draw from the thing.
Unfortunately my supplier is not local, but it is only $9. Still can't find a good local supplier for quartz, only nationwide.
You guys with the volcano problems, pinch the top shut so juice doesn't come out. This can be seen in Dan's first vid, it isn't to keep the mesh from falling in as it sits on the bottom.
Find me a good local supplier ghoti and you'll get allllll the credit.![]()
Actually, I was the first to mention Fused Quartz..... in post #105! (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/351986-pyrex-ss-hybrid-wick-11.html#post7820466)
But I guess nobody cares :'(
What do you want? A medal?![]()
Here's a thought. Ortech- Ceramic Tubes and Rods I wonder how it would work with silica wick running through the 4 channels.
quoting from the manufacture's page:
"It has relatively poor thermal shock resistance."
At least two of us over here.
I can't remember the other member.
Awful taste. Tried with the Aga-T and the Arashi.
Maybe the taste issue could be resolved by altering the airflow? Plugging the airhole and drilling a higher one might be worth trying.
If you search "Ceramic Tube Fuse" on eBay there are of variety of sizes like the Pyrex ones. The smallest I see right off hand is 5x20mm, but it might be usable for experimenting. It at least shows that small bore ceramic tube is out there somewhere..... I was trying to find a supplier for ceramic sleeving, in a size that would work, but never found one, and I sort of forgot about that idea. This thread has renewed my interest. Maybe with the collective effort of those interested in Dan's idea, someone can find a supplier and we could experiment with that...
Key word there is "relatively". It may work just fine. I'm going to buy some and give it a whirl.quoting from the manufacture's page:
