Good evening Fine REO Folk. DH's colonoscopy went well. A couple of polyps removed and biopsy with results in a few days. I needed to run errands so nurse said be back sooner than 2 hours so I could talk to Dr. I skipped Costco and UPS to be back in time. Got back to his room at 0930 and he didn't come back till 1130. I was starting to worry but all was well. DH's father died from cancer that started in colon.

So by the time we left it was 1300 and we were both starving. Stopped by Jack in box for breakfast plate and sandwhiches. I got EGGROLLS to eat in car. First time I've tried them. They were really good!! No sauce needed. DH liked them too.

Beaming out get well and reduced pain.

Hugs and love, Feisty Alice

Karen, I went to a restaurant today and they had cream of parsnip soup! It was the BEST soup I;ve ever had!!!

The only reason I was brave enough to try it was because I remembered your post about mashed parsnips and that it was sweet.

So thank you!!

Yummm. Love parsnips. Always forget to get them. So easy to fix ; wash, cut up, steam in mirowave, smush up or not, some healthy butter substitute, and a little salt and pepper. People who like carrots and yams should like parsnips. Parsnips soup sounds delish. Gonna have to make some.

Doctor wants DH to eat more whole grains. Eating lots of veggies and gallons of v8 is good but not good enough. DH said "humph" to that. He does have oatmeal most mornings. Maybe I can get more grains in him by fixing turkey BLT on Mutigrain bread more often.

Hugs, Feisty Alice
