taken care of Jan!!
Got most of my programs loaded on my laptop! It is running just fine.
I figured out that if I got a new one I would have to load stuff anyway! Sure helps with Firefox having the sync! I was able to get all my bookmarks, passwords and other stuff from my desktop Firefox! Even the add-on's were transferred!
It is very fast now. Should not have any problems when I take it to work. It was tough not being able to get online this morning.
Just might make that at least 6 year old laptop last another few years!
Well make part of it for me will ya Kay![/Q

I've been up a while, had a bite to eat, fed my kitties, been messing with my rba's...one day I'll get the hang of using them!
I may be a slow learner, but I am a bulldog about not letting go till I have it conquered!
Oh, and I've been PMimg with HolaAmigo about a copper vein vv grand...I think it's gonna be in my hot little hands around the beginning of next week...Yahoo!! Then I'll be the proud owner of THREE of them!!!
( and I'm the one that tried to talk Rob into removing the "v v" part so It'd be just a regular grand...I wanted the side button and rounded sides but I was intiminated by the electronics (?) of them.
Oh, and working on Scotts winter hat ( a little teaser there)![]()

I have never backed up a single thing on my pc. Don't even know how.Karen, so glad everything is going good. I'm an old geek who owned company, for years, for on site and phone tech support, personal and business; I was main tech. It's never easy and fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially if you want to preserve data, links, etc. I have a new (I purchase all as re-furbs now days) desktop that has been sitting for months because I just don't want to take the time to transfer everything. So I've been using my Notebook as my "main computer" all that time. (Main entertainment computer, connected to "media cente,r" is DH's desktop.) I have back-ups for my back-ups, various networked, redundant hard
drives.) but it still isn't easy. I don't envy those who don't have readily available geek friends to help or pocket-books for hours of tech support.)
So....... Cheers to you for doing what you did.
BTW... I can find fabulous deals on re-furbed computers (I do additions for memory, hard drives, controllers if needed, and video cards), many hundreds less than the "best deals." Main reason I don't upgrade more often is the hassle of moving or reinstalling programs. You already know that as you've just spent many hours doing it.
What a good girl!!!!
Hugs, Feisty Alice

If you need to downsize, I'll send you my addydam you just reminded me, i have 5 of them all due to be rewicked![]()

You about to take the plunge, Jan? Wrapping the coils is easy (for me), getting the wick right has been a little bit of a challenge.Well get really good at it will ya...I'm going to need the tips and tricks!![]()

I've watched a cazillion videos, read everything everywhere about them and they still turn bad after only about a day! I'm beginning to think my main problem is that I flood them ( just like I was always flooding the atties)..and I'm always taking the cap off to see how much juice is on the wick and I think when doing that I somehow touch the coil so then it doesn't make good contact, so then I use a thin needle to move them around a bit...so on and so forth)

I've been happy with this one for two days...just takes a lot of squonking. I switched from my favorite juice to my so so juice today and am quite impressed. Best it has tasted ever. Learning curve very well worth the effort.so far the embroidery thread has been the best for me but i have some size 10 natural bamboo crochet thread on order now.
i been hearing that its the best so far. the main thing is less is more on wicks. i use 2 strands of thread doubled over to make 4 and just enough to fill the coil with just enough to touch the bottom and wick.
and kay,
QUIT MESSING WITH IT, when you get a good one leave it ALONE
