My first encounter was at the little country convenient store by my Mom's old house. The cashier was usually outside in the parking lot smoking when we got there. One morning she was at her register puffing away and I commented "Wow, they are letting you smoke in here now,..." Got my first e-cig shortly after. (Blu) We stopped by that store today and I was a little disappointed that she wasn't there.

Mom and Sis are never going to quit. Never going to drink water either. Coffee and nicotine is all that runs through their veins.

I won't drink water!!! Unless it has some lime juice and sweetner!!! I have been doing that for a couple of months now. That and tea!!!

Don't touch my nic!!! I get quite grouchy!!!

OMG!!! Get him, Colt!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

The young man who had the 19 yr old domesticated kitty, who lived with us a while back...... His kitty liked me, btw..... One day apartment maintenance guy had been warned about friend's attack cat. He thought nothing about it; brushed it off. He was warned but proceeded to enter apartment when friend was at work. He ended up in ER and cat was fine. Just talked with friend and cat made it past 20 years despite medical issue.

DH worked with a woman who had a rescue facility in East Texas for large animals. Bobcats are not very large. One day three or four of her Dobermans got in a run with a rescued Bobcat. Three Dobermans were killed, or had to be put down, by the Bobcat.

Size doesn't always count.

(That's why we never leave only one dog to defend a yard. Too many Bobcats.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

I'm not a big water drinker either.

It's got to have some flavor!!!!!!!!!!!

After getting my braces on teeth and having to be so careful about brushing, irrigating, flossing, AND getting my very first Gold Stars ever, in my life, from hygentist, for home teeth care...... I got my water filter out and I've been really going to town on filtered, plain water. If my tap water sits for a few hours it taste terrible. Filtering has opened up a whole new dimension for me as far as drinking water. I've become especially careful about citric acid in so many drinks. It took some time but now I'm very happy with water. Instead of taking a flavored water drink in car I now take filtered at home water. Acknowledging the adverse affect of citric acid on teeth and having to plan for two dental implants, $6K plus, after braces off, teeth that had to be pulled because of breaking, I've become very aware of anything that can weaken teeth. Besides sugar citric acid is a major enemy of teeth. I now only take filtered water for relaxing before sleep. I don't want to lose any more teeth!!!!

I been luck there...still got most of mine.

Thought I was about to lose the one but it just ended up that I've developed sensitive gums!! So taking steps to help that!!!

I've been very fortunate despite eating candy at night and not brushing after for much of my life. One of my parents had "soft" teeth despite exceptional dental hygiene.

When I first saw orthodontist he remarked about so much work on my teeth; many crowns. Besides taking much better care of my teeth since getting braces I'm losing weight partially because it's too much hassle to do brushing, waterpic, flossing, etc. after eating.

If you've ever been around someone who has to have oral bone grafting done it can make an impression on you. The first time I experienced DH not being able to go to work for any reason it was after dental bone grafting. He was in so much pain.

But just like smoking I didn't really start being good until I lost the last tooth before braces. It was my last remaining old style silver filling and had no decay. It just split in half through root when I was eating a soft sandwich. One before that was from wreck when I was chowing down on candied Almonds during. It split in half to root with no sign of decay.

I'm paying attention now.

Andy, take note, just saw another Jack Reacher commercial, this one had a scene with a very attractive young lady wearing only a bra and panties... the movie is going to have at least one socially redeeming value.

I'll bet she's 8 inches taller than Tom Cruise. Moronic wussie.

Jack

Jack, I posted a song in the music thread just for you:)

Well I am grateful that I have sturdy teeth. I just hope they hang in there for a few years more!!

Jack

I haven't read the books. But from what you and "Colt" are saying I shouldn't read the books first. Most of my men have been taller than I but I certainly have had crushes on less tall men, including Jack who isn't quite six foot (he's still quite attractive despite being OLD). I have mixed feeling about Tom Cruise. Until he pulls a full blown Mel Gibson on us I'll still be a bit titillated by him. One of my neighbors, the three houses around our "front 40," his father and Mel Gibson's father were best friends. I learned about the "family propensity" years before Mel "lost it."

And my neighbor is a bigot although he would never realize it. DH and he have email battles but I am the "dumb blonde" wifey who serves as diplomat. Of course I have never read any of their email exchanges over the years.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

{edit} Bigot neighbor has been able to retire quite nicely due to his brilliant, much younger wife, who went back to school, to get her bachelors, then Masters, in Physics and Math, and is teaching at University, after staying home and raising three children. She takes no ..... off of him at all!!!! They used to be loud but she's tamed him quite a bit now that she has regained her confidence.

Another drive by to say hi. This time I am out of town yet agaon...with only two reos to keep me company.

My PSA...pay attention to the shorty cartos! I was sick of my reo until I remembered I hadn't changed the damn carto for WAY too long. Enjoying sweet flavor of vanilla cheesecake right now. I passed six months last week!!

P.S. That mastiff pic makes me miss my "puppy". It's been just over a year (in fact the day I hit six months not smoking) that I lost my baby.

Here he is as an 85 pound puppy:

I doubt I will ever have a dog as amazing as he was.
