Ya...I'm still here for another few moments. Well if it's optional, that's cool...but don't you need your whole crew? I like optional days....I would usually work them...made me feel like I was doing something positive with my time. Now days....we just work dang near every day....but it's worth it. Do you get holiday pay or only if you work on Tuesday.
Lisa, as a logger, I lose more every year than you could imagine. A few years ago, I had a co-payed IRA, paid health insurance and 2 weeks annual paid vacation.
All gone. None of them exist any more. Might as well be working at a convenience store except for the fact that I make a little more money per hour for putting my life on the line every day. It's pretty pathetic.
