I'm right on the border between West L.A. and Santa Monica. I've tried both ways and even though the coil looks alot nicer if you wrap them separate I get a better vape out of doing wrap my wire around the silica just remember not to wrap them too tight cuz you choke off the silica's wicking ability some people wrap them with a fat paper clip inserted then pull it out when you finish wrapping only down side is its nearly impossible to change the wick out without just wrapping a whole new coil/wick Which isn't a big for me. I get a really long time out of mine now by just rinsing them off, pat the wick dry, and dry burning the hell out of them till all the gunk burns off then juice them back up and go!!!!hi EVERYONE....i just made my second coil/wick build and it came out perfect(well for me)...for my A7...first attempt was a disaster but it was acceptable...what works for me is wrapping the coil around the wick instead of threading it thru...5 turns and i got the PERFECT vape...also did the mod thing with the center post(condom thing)....thank you EVERYONE for all your help...NEVER would have gotten thru this without you.

I think i'll have to try this way also. I was afraid the slightly uneven wraps (over using a nail or similar) would make for a wierd burning coil but I guess not!
Delightful lunch with our Jack. This man amazes me. So vibrant and full of life. Love him to the ends. Tried to post pic of us smooching but photobucket is being crabby. (Mr Mountain Man) 45F when we sat down outside to dine at noon in partial shade. But they had tall heaters by each table. Two hours ago the sun was burning my back but my toes were cold.

Argo was surprisingly good, considering we all know the story/ending. REOville never did weigh in on favorite recent movies when I asked on Oscar night. Think you all were watching sports, though. Always have wished I were more into all that. Sure didn't seem to be a great movie year, though I did like Argo and both P.T. and Wes Anderson's movies. Nervously chattering, a little worried about my soon-to-be tested, rather rusty teaching chops.

You got it right Becky, I am Val. I worked at Kaiser West LA for a while, in the ICU. I rented a room down there so I wouldn't have to drive home through traffic then back in the morning when I was doing back to back 12.5 hour shifts. The 405 to the 5 to the 138 could take 3 hours in traffic...I told you all not to take it personally that I'm terrible with names. Is it Val? The meet will be on the 10th at "Back to the Grind" on University, there is a thread here for "vapers in the IE" where you can get more details. I don't know where the metrolink station is in relation to that, but I would think that since it is on University there will be a bus going that way. I really want to go, but don't think the 95 miles and the stairs involved there would work to well this soon after knee surgery. They meet every month or so, and if I dont' make this one I will go another time.
ETA: the metrolink comes up here too

! Maybe this coffee is working... I was born at Kaiser WLA, and, unfortunately, it's been something of a home away from home ever since. I'm a third generation Los Angelino, but it's really absurd few of the surrounding environs I've ever stepped foot in. But, as I've admitted, I don't drive. If that's an invite, would it also include margaritas? (Notice where my mind stuck when catching up on the thread?)

. That's just an unbelievably tough job, and I've had the good luck of having some nurses whose care and knowledge have far surpassed many of the doctors I've seen. Don't know how you do it!!

I'm back from neverland.........NEVER GONNA INSTALL ANOTHER OVER THE RANGE MICROWAVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
Can somebody tell me why every single microwave I ever got has mounting holes in different locations????? PITA and my upper cabinet has holes all over the place some big as 2" wide, looks like a minefield Hey you microwave designers out there can you get with it and stop 
around??

Thank you. I am in forced retirement at an early age due to my knee, I will never bend it right again. Chest compression is going to be a problem for me, and in ICU we get a lot of people trying to die in need of someone who can help them.
Just let me know when you want to come up, hopefully I will be driving by then and YES to margaritas!
