Happy Bday Darrel. Made it to 40 huh? Wishing you many, many more. BTW..... I was gonna say the super fast aging won't really begin till Gatlin gets quite a bit older but, oh yeah, DD already started the process for you. Rather than celebrate my birthdays in the usual way I make it a special homage day to my mother; birthing day.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Mornin REOville! Still hangin in here with this cold, took some night time cold stuff last night and I did sleep, but still feverish and head stuffy.
Cappy, there is no need for you to apologize, we are concerned for you and if you need to talk or vent, we are here to listen, any time you need to talk, please do, we know this is a huge task you are dealing with.
Irehc77, keep in mind also, that since you are still kind of new to vaping, your tastes will fluctuate a lot while your body heals from smoking, some days you may taste fine, some days you won't taste anything or things may taste odd, it's normal, and soon your body will heal and settle down and stuff will taste right to you again.
Well, going to call in to work and go back to bed, have a great Thursday all!

So glad you are staying in bed. Hoping you start to mend. And don't you feel one bit of guilt taking care of YOU. That's an order.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Good morning everyone :)
Another day of grueling computer work and negotiations with the local paper. I can't wait for this project to be over...I am so frustrated with damn near everyone involved. Gotta buy me another box of hair day to cover the new greys I'm getting out of this.

Welcome, Jim :) I love the covers Karen sent me too!

George, I still have a landline. :D Cell service is not so good here on the Island.

G'morn' you chatty folks.

Although cell is virtually absolutey necassy for DH and me we had to keep a land line because of poor signal here too; mainly the voice affected. That is until I got a Wison signal booster a couple months ago. Amazing difference and no more dropped calls. (Sometimes we couldn't even make calls.) And I don't even have antenna mounted on roof yet. It's mounted temporarily on upstairs window inside, the way that gives least performance. It's boosted 3G and even though it's not supposed to it is boosting my Sprint 4G LTE signal a bit downstairs. So impressed with signal quality picked up the Sprint whole house device that is a cell signal but you plug your phone system into it. We have a great little set of cordless phones for whole house already. Will do faxing, as before, via internet.

Dropping land line voice today but have to keep landline DSL as we have no cable out here. Our underground landline, all the way back here down drive, is so shoddy we can only get half the bandwith that is delivered out here above ground to end of drive. Upstairs in guest room my Sprint 4G LTE is better than our landline DSL. Anxiously awaiting for Wilson to make a Sprint 4G booster. (They have them for a few other carriers already.)

Hugs, Feisty Alice

DH and I have had cell phones since 1990 and my first "smart" phone was a Palm. Understand we are a pretty geeky household.

Alice, Alameda has many dead zones due to having so many military bases around here. Even though most of them have been closed down we still have the Coast Guard and there are still a few training centers here. I'm not in a "dead zone" per-say but the signal is still weak. I normally have to go outside to get a half-way decent signal so I can understand what the caller is saying comfortably. My daughter is about 16 miles from me and my signal there is way better than at home.
