Mornin REOville! I slept in really late this morning, but feeling like this cold is just about gone. It is supposed to get up to about 75degrees today, now that's my kind of weather, not too hot, not too cold. Cappy are you still enjoying Florida? When do you and Carol go home? I hope you are still considering Hospice Care, my dad had that the last few months of his life, my mom had been taking care of both him and her mother by herself, wouldn't let us kids help much. Grandma passed in August, and dad passed in October. You couldn't ask for a more caring, kind person than the hospice nurses who cared for my dad. She told us the day before he passed that it was time. I will be forever grateful that his last days were at home and peaceful and that we were able to tell him good bye.

Well... here is what happened to me (I wasn't ignoring anyone). I had my few drinks at the party. I updated a review from Yelp that really upset me. And then.... I went to take a nap. Which lasted till 1 am. I am all caught on reading though. I stayed up till 4 and slept another 6 hours. I kid you not! I musta just been really tired.
Hopefully I am all refreshed now (I think I said this before.)

Good evening all. I got my stuff from Rob today. My mini has its new button and spring. Again, I tested the mini A7 and it works fine on the Grand. I put it on the mini - hard short again. BUT I learned my lesson and made sure the short stop was in place so at least didn't blow another spring! I had to turn the center pin out past the edge of the atty, and all is well now. Which is exactly opposite of what everyone was saying, so FYI you may need to adjust your pin to your unit and make sure you have short protection!

The Holocron short stops are reusable, I didn't want the ones that once they worked you toss. I am using the short stops from now on and last night anticipating this I ordered Evolve's 2 cent fuse lites. I think they are "flatter" than the short stop, and I don't want to use the woodvils until they have their own short protection. The mini that is on the REO 2.0 was on the woodvil (with the short stop of course) and worked fine but now that I adjusted it for the 2.0 I need to be careful of where I put that atty!

I would like to hear more about it. I went searching on the posts and am wondering if we can add some info to the A7 thread? Very interesting.
I am not 100% sure if the short stop related to batteries or the atties or both?

Free booze?? What's the addy? ;-)

LOL Nutz woulda taken you anyday :D

Lampwork is a lot of fun. I stumbled into it while going w/ my ex to stained glass classes. The stained glass was boring to me, too much like putting a jigsaw puzzle together - which I never liked doing. While at the glass shop I start noticing the beads and objects fused. That intrigued me.

It is cheap to get into the lampwork hobby. All you need is a a few hand tools, a special torch head (I think mine is called a "hot head"), a canister of MAPP gas, some metal rods, and some release compound. And of course, some art glass and common sense. Go to an art glass store and check it out. I ended up getting into the whole fusing thing and it is a lot of fun.

I was surprised when Bert (from Drippy Tips) told me his tips were lampworked. I figured they were blown. After I bought one from him I could see the release compound inside. He offered to have me come over and work one up (he lives about six miles from me). I thought that was a very nice offer, but I didn't want to abuse it.

If you like doing artsy craftsy stuff you'd love doing lampwork. It is a hoot.

Edit: Geesh. Finally went thru thread you mentioned. That lady has some incredible talent. Amazing.
I don't have steady hands, but that is why we can enjoy and support their work. :D

Too fussy for me (and I have way too many clumsy moments for glass tips anyway), but I like looking at them.

She sells from that thread, has a shop on Etsy BlackRavenTips by BlackRaventips on Etsy , and Alice in Vapeland sells some when they have them. (AiV is only open Wednesday mornings, though, so it's something of a challenge to order from them.)

(I've been kind of a drip tip voyeur lately, can you tell?)

Melissa

I too have clumsy hands. I stalked Teena from out on the internet back to the forum all because of a drip tip she made. Yes most of the time it rests wrapped in my vape box, but I take it out to be showy. I think I'll order another to use though. I just need to get a mod holder and behave. I don't take my phinny off the desk either so some things I enjoy sitting here and not when I am out.

Good Morning Reo-fam! It's a beautiful day here. I hope everyone has the same weather!
Ed the weather is amazing! I am going to go out with a friend shopping and I think I will rally up Firefly to go check out the park today. Since he is the one who showed it to me in the first place. haha
