Hi Ryan!I'm Kay ( oldbroad) Aren't the people here amazing?! I've only been here a few months and I feel like i've known them for years! And i trust what they tell me, which is a big one for me,lol. There's a list of all the people with their real first names but Lisa or Karen or many others can point you to it.
Take care and also your lovely family, Ryan

Hi Kay, nice to meet you. :)

I have been "creeping" on ECF for over a year but have not been active until recently. My very first REO is supposed to be here this week - YAY! Honestly, I am not sure which I'll be more impressed with... my REO or REO people. :p

I live in a small Iowa town of about 800 - somehow I feel like I know people here better. I suppose that which binds us, unites us.

Take care,
Ryan

Hello Ryan :D

Lisa you can tell from the photos that your house has a great atmosphere. My real estate agent hated me when I was house hunting, I had to have a view (mine is good but yours is gobsmacking) and it had to be light and airy, without neighbours being too close. You might be better off with the size house you have, it's nice having visitors but we had a continuous stream of visitors and house guests in the old house. With three kids and the jobs we were both in, we should have installed revolving doors lol Life is more peaceful now :)

Ya, I hear ya...I probably shouldn't complain.

Speaking of revolving doors....You know I built a custom door for a guy here in town that is not quite revolving, but close....it's built out of a 4" thick center cut (vertically) of a giant fir tree with the live edge mostly in tact, the outside edges done in etched glass and framed in metal. It's about 6' wide, 8' tall and pivots in the center...and uses a maglock system that is electronically driven by remote and keypad. In all it cost about $16K without installation, but it was well worth it. It was his design and my team's ingenuity that made it happen. I've never seen anything like it. And hopefully I'll never have to work on a project like that again.

Hey everyone- thanks for all the suggestions. I screwed up and showed up for the webinar at 9...I had misread...it ended at 9...oh well, next time.

I was able to check resistance in my injectors (something I learned from checking ohms on attys :))...but they were all the same 17.4ohms... This was not good because I was hoping I wouldn't have to fault trace wiring. Now I'm sort of stuck. I still pulled injector 1 out (the spot giving me all this trouble) and swapped it w/ injector #5 (this is a 5 cylinder car). In the process I tore an o-ring. You guys know that you have to have the right one or the Reo bottle won't hold a seal right? Same thing on a Volvo (or any other car), so right before 10PM I'm off to AutoZone which closes at 10...got there just as they were about to close and they had some generic ones that I think will work. Anyway, if I have a fuel leak, I'll know why. All said and done, I cranked the car up and no trouble codes and thus no white smoke. I know it's not an intake manifold nor a cracked head... or head gasket. I would have smoke all the time if this were the case. I'm thinking the codes will come back when I get on the road tomorrow and put the car under some pressure. We'll see. Anyway, I'm going to chance getting the car to my friend in Sweetwater about 50 miles away. He can do all the fault tracing that I can't do. I just don't want this thing to die on me on the highway as I travel to Alabama. We'll see what he says.

Well hopefully you did the trick and if not, your friend can figure it out quickly. :)

That sounds amazing, I can only imagine what the rest of the house was like if the door cost that much  If I'd put in a revolving door it would have had to be a cheapo smack you in the back of the head one! That would get people moving!

 The imagery is hillarious! ya...if this door smacked anyone it would knock them clean out. It's limited so it won't do that....we thought of that while building it. It weighs like 600lbs. The house itself isn't much to remark on ...or at least it wasn't when we were working on it. But I"m sure he's remodeled the hell out of it by now. This door project was hmmm....6 yrs ago. The front porch was nice though.

We need to hire you a bouncer.

Yeah, it's been crazy heat wave stuff going on here - went up to 41C/110F or something crazy like that a week ago. Phewwww! Fortunately we have a/c, and Brad got me a really good fan for the season. I also have some crazy evaporativee cooling clothing that I can wear when I get reallllllly hot, but I mostly just use that for when I'm outside. =)

How's life treating you? What are you vaping? =D
