I know this is slightly off topic, but a male attorney friend of mine stumbled across this site a while ago and when my brother's life seemed like it was falling apart at the seems, I shot him a link to it. While a lot of this information is "old hat" for a lot of men....some of the men from my generation and younger would do well to read some of the articles. I sent it to my brother in the snide older sister fashion ...poking at him....but I really think it hit home with him. He's a veteran...with a lot of baggage, but I think he enjoyed the distraction of going through their articles...regardless if I was being a mean and insensitive older sister. Hi Lisa :D Hope you are enjoying your long weekend, it was Father's day here on Sunday so we had the whole family round last night. I hate cooking for 8 too stressful, guess that means I wouldn't make a good chef lol

Not yet (((Tripp))) and thank you for helping get one. The mail's been a bit slow lately for some reason. It won't hurt though because it will give me more time to check on the best way to put it all together, there seems to be lots of variations so I'll go for majority rules first I think.

Big ole wads of wick are a waste of time and wick, in my opinion. I suggest 4 wraps of wire around two strands of the wick, torch it a few seconds, install, squonk, and vape. (trim away any excess wick) Also, make sure the air hole on the top cap is aligned with your coil. I hope you love it and it arrives soon!

Lisa, I've been reading your comments since I first got here and I can't imagine you ever being mean or insensitive. More likely your instincts were telling you it was exactly what your brother needed to read.

Ya...I know what you mean. The days of me cooking for 30+ on my weekends as some sort of enjoyment are long gone. I miss it occasionally, but there are more important things I'd like to focus on than stressing over a meal.

 Thank you...but I assure you, I've been less than tactless on many occasions. But that's what we do...I'm straight with him whether he wants it or not....which would explain why he doesn't call more often  I am my father's daughter in more ways than I'd like to admit.

Simple is what I need. I just want it to work as well as my Reos do, so unless there is something even simpler, I'll try that Andy :)

i don't know what wick/wire you have coming but, i use 3mm silica wick in a loop about 1 inch long and 3 wraps of 32 awg kanthal wire. it comes out at 1.4 ohms every time

I haven't even ordered any yet because I wasn't sure what to get. Guess I've got some experimenting to do....lol that should be interesting :)

You'll have 2mm silica wick and 32 AWG/0.20mm kanthal wire included with the ERA. You can play around with different thickness of wires and wicks at your leisure. :)

You sound really happy with it, so fingers crossed it will be the same for me. I've seen a few people who seem to be finding it difficult but I'll just come here and hound you and Andy and Wayne for answers....aren't you lucky ;)

Sweet dreams Tripp
