One of the vendors was running tests on juice storage and how that impacts nicotene mg percentages. I'm doing this from memory so my recollection might be a little off.

They had the same juice in different bottles stored in a frig, in a dark room, a light room, on a window sill and on a window sill with the cap off. They all started off at 35 mg of nic. They tested the mg concentration of nic weekly.

After 6 weeks the only change was in the bottle with the cap off sitting on the window sill. It dropped from 35 to 34. The tests showed at least the nic concentration to be quite stable.

THis doesnt test flavor of the base nor does it test flavoring changes. Since many of the flavors we use are used in baking it hard to think that temprature would alter the flavor that much.

So I dont have a clue why a tank would change flavors but thought I would throw it into the pot of ideas.

I'm beginning to think that the juice is getting burnt since it is happening mostly on my VV mods rather than on my Reos. This really sucks because I love VV and tanks. What's the point of having lots of tanks if I can only use 1 at a time? And what's the point of having multiple mods if I can only use a couple at a time. I'm getting BUMMED!

Could the condensation inside the carto be leaching into the juice over time. I know my cartos get funky tasting after about 12 ml goes through them and I believe thats part of the problem for me.

AHA! You beat me to the QED! Even shorter if it is Boba's for me (but it is at 5.1v on a 3 ohm).

I don't see any condensation in the tanks and I don't know if there is condensation in the cartos but I suppose this could be happening. I just don't know.

rememer also had this brownish thing happening with the CE2 clearomizers back then, we switched from PG to VG back then, we barely had it with PG, but with VG it became a nightmare, kept thouwing away 2ml's of juice again and again. eventually i switched permanently to atty's with small coils dripping at first and soon the reo...never looked back at carto's either :D

Hmmm. I use 100% VG.

I think this is the deal honestly. As far as I can tell any carto will produce condensation - which is why you notice this more in tanks than in Reos,

Storm almost blew us away last night. The power just came back on. A window got blown out of the chicken house and a few tree limbs are down. As noisy as the wind was I am surprised there isn't more damage. It's a beautiful day today though!

Sorry. The worst just grazed us a few miles south but the sky was ominous and only a little rain. I was out on the road talking to neighbor and her Heeler when the first lightening started before the sky got really dark. Luckily we were right in front of her house so we excused ourselves rapidly. Sorry but you got the wind we probably should have gotten. Our electric flicked a few times but shockingly didn't cut off. There was a pamphlet on my car that Oncore Electric is doing severe trimming of trees near the electric lines all over the woods. Sorry for the trees but it's about time. (Auntie Chaco's parents had a tree fire up near their house before it got to the transformer a few years ago.) They even showed pictures in the pamphlets of what to expect the trees to look like after the trimming. In 26+ years that's the first time we've gotten any notice. Luckily they don't have to get inside my fences as everything runs underground from the transformer.

I'm hoping it cooled off for you when the wind came in.

Hugs, Alice

Then what you are saying is you have the same problem I'm having?

Only with a fruity juice @2.0 Ohms & 4.5V. It's only happened once, and I tossed the carto & juice. But my thoughts were that it wasn't very tolerant to being heated, cooled, standing, and not directly being burned.

Hmmm. I use 100% VG.

we too, well better say 5% or less PG in it. also noticed that some juices are more sencetive to it then others, worst was ECOpure Rich, it's very pure and good, but it was a pain in the clearo's, from clear into brown in a day. it's great in the reo's but even then i need to clean out the bottle more often then other juices.

I can not relate to having multiple tanks, Reos and flavored juices of all kinds. THat does not compute. It is out of my realm of thinking. It is beyond teflon. One Reo Grand, one flavor of juice. I am a Spartan warrior. I sleep on bamboo stakes. I eat Bear Grylls for my morning breakfast.

I won't even get started on my life long hyper sensitives. Last month, for the whole month, every few days I would have severe itching all over and scattered rashes. I didn't have direct contact with anything unknown and hadn't changed any household or personal products (can't use many products and for sure none with fragrances). But the severe itching would start after I had been outside a bit, even just going to car. UNSOLVED..... Orthodontist's wife was having exact same symptoms. She's an ER nurse and was wondering if she had picked up something at hospital but they ruled that out. They live out here near us. So he wants me to let him know if we can figure anything out. I'm figuring an over abundance of some kind of pollen giving both of use contact dermatitis. It's not anything like poison ivy rash you can get from oils in the air. I get it that way in sweat areas. The itching was intense even where there was no rash. It's not any kind of mites, from animals; birds or mammals, or even reptiles..... I know what those feel like and can feel them crawling on me. Oh the mysteries!!!!

I itch constantly!!! Been that way all my life. Sorry for your son and the energy and worry for you.

BIG HUGS, Alice

Thanks Alice.
The preschool said they would call if he got too itchy, but he didn't. However I noticed that his face is getting redder already and he randomly will scratch here and there (nothing out of the ordinary though). The whites of his eye on only one eye is red now too. Darn kid, why can't he come with a trouble shooting guide!!! LOL

Congratulations Kay! Cocobolo is divine!

I left my trusty multimeter on one too many times today.:( The only thing I don't have a back up for.

Radio Shack carries the batteries, a 2-pack. (I think it is a common battery for gadgets. For many of the mm's it is a cylinder 9v; not the square kind.) Take your multimeter with you and one of the associates will take out the tiny screw and replace the battery for you.

when my juice start tasting burnt I slot another and toss the carto about every 5 days or so I don't toss the juice in the tank. if you take the carto apart with a pair of tweezers you'll see why it taste burnt because the stuff around the coil is melting or burnt

Speaking of funky taste...my shorty was getting harder to draw on, so I put a new super shorty on my reo. And now it is nasty! Every vape I take, the inhale has faint flavor of the juice I am using, but OMG the soapy type flavor of the carto is killing it :( And I have used almost the entire bottle of this juice for days (had to switch mid bottle on my reo actually) so I know it isn't the juice-it is the carto :( I was really really hoping the smoketech problem wouldn't affect the super shorties but now I am not so sure.

I also noticed that when I took the end cap off, I kind of slid one side of the cap on the inside of the carto-and it got something on it from the inside wall of the carto. The filler wasn't all the way to the wall on one side either. Hate to throw away a brand new carto, wonder if washing it out would help...hmmm

I like mine, but the Pila charges sooooo much faster! It takes me forever at home if I use that one. Heck I am charging batteries for 9 Reo's in that! I keep it going for hours. The Pila I have here at work charges fast. Love that! I do have another Pila at home but it is put up as a back-up. Might get that out and use it there.

The Pila has a great reputation. The only thing I don't like about them is the fast charging. Lithium chemistry batteries "prefer" a slower charge.

I thought I had misplaced my TR-001 but low and behold DH carries it with him in his carry on.
