Me too, Lisa, always lived in the north, anything over 80 is hell...well, now i guess i can say anything over 100 is hell, lol
Eastern Washington gets like Arizona hot & Alaska cold. I lived there for 6 years while going to school, then high tailed it back over the Cascades to a more temperate region. I even changed my summer schedule so I was working nights so i slept through most of the heat in my AC'd apartment and went to work at night when the temps were dipping back into the 90's. Much easier to work in 90° weather than 110°+ weather.

I'm a "vampire" in the attic according to DH. I don't usually mind really hot or really cold, dressed appropriately, of course, we are supposed to use our superior brains, but I do really, really, like and appreciate electricity and AC as long as it's not too cold. I carry jackets and sweaters in the cars to wear in most places, here, because they keep them too cold in summer. Anything below 78F and my nose gets ice cold and then I get chilled all over. In winter I spot heat where DH is going to be and keep the house in the low to mid 60's except when bathing in shower or tub. But surprisingly, I get chilled really fast in water that is below 85F.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Hello everyone!! I initially figured that I have not saved by buying Reos, juice and attys...but then Alice's 22K got my attention and I did my own calculations:

... For the 18 months I haven't smoked, I've saved $5500 in cigs. So, I have 7 Reos now- one for my wife- so 8...at $150 each (guestimation)- that's $900....let's round off to $1000... Then there's the juice and attys- I'm an Atty killer...let's say a $10 a week in attys and $100 a month in juice...estimating on the high side...$830 in attys (no way!!) and $1800 in juice (also no way!!)... At the highest estimation, total of $3600 spent for everything...so still saved nearly $2000 in the time I've quit smoking. That doesn't even come close to the amount I've saved in health care and how much better I feel!!!

whoo hoo! Alice, it's allright,lol.....dang, if i got into a brawl I'd want you covering my back!! Really, up here in No. Mi., so close to the lake breezes, AC is normally not necessary...but this summer is not normal, lol. And she...my landlord.. lived here all her life till she moved to Mo. ast year.

I found out how untough I was when, just a few years ago, I swung a heavy wood chair at the head of a 6'7" ~40 year old guy, in a restaurant/bar, who had been locked out because of his behavior (all of the doors were supposed to have been locked because of him which was a grand offense in and of itself), and crashed in a door when they let someone in. He had been threatening my woman friend because she told him she didn't like his behavior toward us three old broads and throwing outdoors chairs at the big glass window. Yes, several people had called the cops and I had called three times but it went on for 30 minutes. I'm really glad I wasn't carrying. The chair broke across his arm and in one fel swoop I was skidding across the floor on my ..... He didn't hit me rather just gave a gentle shove. But he was a GIANT!!!!

When the cops finally showed up all patrons were asked to leave. We stopped and told them we were afraid to go to our car because he was still out there. They then told us they "had him" and if we didn't shut up and go to my car they would press charges for attacking him and when my friend, who had not had one drop of alcohol to drink tried to explain why we were afraid they said, "shut up; one more word and all of you off to jail." We crept to the dark place my car was parked and as we drove out of the parking lot he came barreling across the intersection and then was apprehended.

He lived in the old converted hotel across the street where friend's son also lived on same floor. She got a stern scolding from her son despite her pleas of innocence. I haven't been back since.

Not so tough Feisty Alice

{edit} When very drunk guy was outside he was pointing at my friend and running his hand across his neck in a slashing motion . This was between throwing chairs at the big glass window. That's the part that went on for nearly 30 minutes.

Yes, that's Ben the Dog. I lost all my avi with the computer crash except for this one because I was using it at the time. He's a rescue and they said he was a Pug/Chichihuahua mix but I think he's more likely a Pug/Terrier mix because his coat is not silky soft like either a Pug or a Chichuahua. It's more coarse like a terrier.

That's good, saw the post regarding site work. I was trying to show a fellow reo-convert at work the new button covers and we couldn't get to the page. I was getting a little excited for a minute hoping the circuit boards made it but patience is one of my virtues so the wait continues. Hope all is well with all of the folks in REOville. Brew

I'm on it...thanks, Brew!

I've spent way,way more on vaping than I would have come close to spending on smoking. I figure at least 3X more. Part of that is due to the fact that I wasn't brand loyal and smoked generics. I still see those around here for <$3 pack. Another part of it is that I knew this was my last ditch effort to stop smoking and I wasn't going to shoot myself in the foot by cheaping out on the endeavor. My prime focus at first was having multiple flavors of juice at different strengths to alleviate any and all cravings that might arise. I bought a bunch of juice and a bunch of it I didn't like. Then I settled into my routine and got the kids involved in it and set them up. So yeah, it was quite an expenditure up front.

Then comes the next part. I started hearing the tom toms beating and watching the FDA maneuvers. Figured it was time to stock up on attys and carts and learn DIY. More expense there.(we're talking big carto bulk buys from China, nic liquid stock up, oh my I could open a shop) Then cruising around the forum I ended up here and was reading about people going on and on about their REOs. Hmmm, maybe I should try one. Got it and realized I'd need a backup, and the VV woods came out and I needed a backup for it. 8 REOs later I think I'm backed up sufficiently. Then I realized that no matter how many cartos I stocked they won't last forever. So yep, I'm in a group buy for 3 bottom fed rebuildable atomizers.

Lot of money out but I don't mind cause I haven't smoked in almost 2 years and that's worth all the gold at the end of the rainbow to me. And when the Feds pull the trigger they can kiss my big fat lily white one cause I can still vape away the same way I am now until I drop dead from hopefully old age. Winning! :p
