This month can't get over fast enough. I should be able to start the ball rolling for getting my surgery next month. Never thought I'd be excited about getting my back broke!

It really sucks that you have to have it done. But I have been through back surgery and even though I had to go through a rough time it was well worth it.

Realizing that you will get better after it and will feel lots better is a huge plus. I can understand why your would be excited! The after part!

Hi Jen, I know what it is like to have to wait for a medical procedure, hope the time goes by quickly for you, and the surgery goes well! Back problems can affect every part of your life. I started radiation last Tuesday, I am lucky, the Center where I go is just up the highway, the personnel is very kind and caring, I feel like I am in good hands with them. I can leave my house at 3:30 for treatment and I'm usually home by 4:15.

Doesn't that make it better with them so close? Sure is nice to be able to get something done and get back home within an hour!
Hope all your treatments go well Jeni. Sounds like you found a good place to go.

I'm glad to hear they are so close, and that they are good to you. Do you have family around to fluff your pillow and bring you soup?

My mom is close, but she lives in an assisted living apt, 2 blocks away. I take care of her. My brother is close, but he has 2 teenage daughters, one who rodeos most every weekend, and the other is at KU, so he is very busy. My sis is about 2 1/2 hrs away, but would drop everything to be here if I needed her to. My Son is in Phoenix, but calls a couple of times a week. I haven't been able to train the cats to fix soup, but they are good at keeping my legs warm if I need it. So far I am doing fine, the side effects as I understand them are mostly fatigue, since it's just me and the cats, I can rest/nap when ever I need to, I'm on short term leave from work till October. I can always call my ex-husband if needed, he has been bringing me home grown tomatoes, yumm!! There are a lot of resturants within a mile or two, so if I don't feel like cooking I can easily call something in or go out to eat. I'm pretty self sufficient, but do have resources if needed.

Probably not a good idea for him to do, Gil. It's best if he deals directly with Rob and of course the ECF...if they feel like he's bouncing about as an unregistered supplier that could get him in a heap of trouble. I PM'd him already so there aren't any surprises.

Of course your right.......good job. Contacting The Modmaster is what I suggested to him in our PMs. Tho I didn't think about mentioning the ECF which I should'nt assumed he already had.

It's okay...it's a big forum and there are more rules for suppliers. Most folks joining a forum for information wouldn't really think to look at rules for suppliers.

Good morning, everyone. :)

 (((Jeni)))

I'd bring ya some soup if I was closer. :) What kind of treatment are you doing? How much longer do you need to do the treatment? My FIL just went through treatment last year for cancer and beat it back into submission. He did it on his own too, but that's because he wanted it that way. He's still a pretty independent dude.

I'm receiving radiation, 36 treatments, 5 days a week. Like I said, I feel pretty lucky that the center is so close, straight up the highway, only 10 minute drive. They make it very simple and easy for the patients. I see the Dr once a week to be sure there are no skin problems from the radiation. I am thinking I can do this with no problems, so far so good anyway.
