Awww sorry about your back and allergies. Talk about a double whammy!!! (((hug)))

But glad you can breathe through your nose. :)

Thanks, Jan...I'm probably doing much better than I was last night. Did you see my post? Wayne and I spent the afternoon yesterday looking for treasure (drain field) on our property. After we found it and found that it's in great condition, we decided to walk the property. However, walking the property isn't as easy as it sounds.

Lisa. Great pictures and beautiful scenery!!

It looks a lot like my daughter's back yard which only 2/3 acres but most of it is wooded. It's in N.C. so it also has those skinny trees which I swear should break in a good wind. It's a good thing they bend easily!!

The bad part of this is when I'm there I cannot spend much time outside because I will get sooooo stuffed up and get a sinus headache. :(

Ya...those fern spores did a number on me for sure. But now I know, so I can take precautions the next time we decide to go trailblazing. I will not be taken out by the fern like that again!

The skinny trees you see in my pictures, most of them are 24" in diameter or better. There are a few cedars that are 5' in diameter out there.

Saw those pics Lisa! Wow! That is so cool to be able to watch a piece of property go from al a natural to home and yard! Hope everything works out for placing the home where you want!

Thanks, Karen! :) I'm really excited. There is technically over 6 acres up there, but on record it only reads 5+. The existing house and shop are pretty much dead center on the property. And the majority of it is relatively flat...not a lot of slope, with the exception of the two creeks that run through our property. One creek bed is about 5' deep...the other is closer to 12' below the average surface. It's quite lovely....and lots of dear trails in there. We were so lost yesterday  We walked two of the 6 borders...the rest we never got to. But we tried.

I am so happy for you! It will be so peaceful out there. The wildlife and creeks sound totally fabulous! I always wanted to live in the woods!

Oh...it was wonderous....no sirens, no screaming kids, no planes or helicopters, no freeway sounds....just quiet....and some noise from the neighbors, but nothing like we have here at the house in town. After we get it all set up, we'll have a trail that follows the perimeter of the property, plus a few access trails to and fro. You can always come out for a weekend and enjoy :)
