Hey guys having some issues with my wife's VV Woodvil. It seems to have had a pretty hard life for no older than it is. These didn't come out all that long ago did they?
The metal feeder tube that the silicon tube connects onto is loose and the whole thing slides up and down far too easily. It works but it makes it very difficult to snug up an atty. I don't mean tighten, I just mean lightly snug. When you screw on the atty, it just pushes the the bottom of the 510 connection down. I am worried this will cause a short on it.
Could I remove the rubber tube and use a dab of epoxy on the bottom to secure it? Or do you think it needs to make a trip back East? The button assembly is loose as well but I believe a dab of superglue would take care of that. Lastly, have any of you done any modifications to the brass cup? I know most say that the A7 and ERA and Chalice will fit the VV Woodvil but none of them will even come close to fitting this one. I am thinking of sanding down the inside of the cup to try to get an RBA to fit instead of having to use an adapter.
I hate to bother Rob and mess with shipping it if these are things I can take care of here. I am starting to doubt it tho. I may have already messed up refinishing it by putting the clear on to thick. It's taking forever to cure.
