Good morning fine folks!! Hope everyone is having a great day. I'm off to the eye doc in a couple of hours for an exam complete with dilation. Yippee! I'm going to be blind all afternoon.

Morning Valerie! I had that done a few weeks ago. It is fine if you stay inside! I really didn't notice it much. They even did and extra couple of drops after the initial ones. My pupils were wide open!!!

Mmmmm....Tootsie Pops and Tootsie Rolls were my childhood favorites. (and the big chewy Sweet Tarts) Never had enough patience to lick the way to the center, CRUNCH!

Another beautiful picture Karen! Woke up to the hardest freeze we've had so far, in the low 20's. Before I put my glasses on I thought it snowed the frost is so thick. Beautiful morning here, I hope yours is too!

Your project looks great Alice! You have done some downsizing. Hugs, patience and feel good vibes being sent for you and the DH.

Awww, Claudia, she is stunning! Love her coloring.

Hang in there Scott! I didn't have anything at all to do with any of my family during those young years. Now they are the most important part of my life. Let her know you love her and will be there, she'll come back around in time.

Thanks Jen! It is only 17 out this morning. The cars are covered with so much frost it looks like snow here too! Glad I don't need to run out today! Lots to do here, work still needs to be done.

Well all this talk about old has made me tired.

What time is that bus coming by Jack?! And where we going?!!

Night all

CULz

I'd love to get behind the wheel of that big boy! A girl friend of mine from long ago had an 18 wheeler, cross-country driving, i went on a run with her ( it had the sleeper compartment, so it was very comfy) and she let me drive for a while on the expressway( at the time I had a CDL license or whatever they're called ( it's been a long time, lol) cuz I used to drive the railroad guys to their various destinations, once even to Canada. It was awesome...I felt so powerful!

Her cab was hot pink:laugh:

Put me down for another credit card that has been highjacked. My wife texted me yesterday and asked me what I bought from newegg for $170. Uh... nothing!

Dispute the charges and get a new card.

What the hell, Tripp.

I feel your pain, I had to do the dispute/reissue dance with a card last month.

I keep telling myself that I need to start using a zero balance card that does not get used much for my online shopping. I find it really easy to use my debit/credit card that is tied to my checking.

Maybe that will become my chore for this weekend! It really hurt when that account was closed and I had to wait for a new card. And when it came I had to change payment methods on accounts anyway!

So, since I was having a bear of a time trying to post pics i decided to try making coils, as i really dislike regular atties now. I made three of them with just a single fold of silica 3/4 wraps and so far they're all good!

I'd been messing with braided candle wick..don't like it.. all kinds of comfigurations, I even made a coil first and slipped a single straight piece of silica thru it by hand..it worked but it wasn't enough wick for me... I made one with using a needle threader...broke the needle threader... tried one with wrapping the coil around the wick and large needle..no good... tried one twice doubled over silica, too thick, was touching the side ans shorting...tried cotton yarn...burned it right off the bat...all this experimenting last night....
come to the conclusion that for me, simple is best..folded silica with one side cut short and the other just one kinda long tail to sit on the floor of the rebuildable.

So I now have a lot of cotton yarn and about five bundles of braided candle wick I have no use for!If anyone uses this stuff, PM me and I'll give it to you. ( I can't use the cotton yarn to crotchet cuz i washed it and now it's too flimsy for that) and i don't make candles anymore.
