Happened to walk down the apple isle and found the laptop that would work best for what I do and about fell over after looking at the price. *sigh* I have no doubt that for what I'm doing now, that it would probably be a better machine than what I use, but there is no way I can afford one of those. Just can't do it.

DD has been saving for the past year for the mac pro laptop I think she has enuf now When she asked what I wanted for christmas I told her to buy her comp ( I didnt say because then she wouldnt need to use mine

That is how we do things....but only one at a time. 3 years ago, we had been saving up a ton of money over the year to buy our big tv. We didn't put it on credit...all of our luxury purchases we do with cash only that we have saved. That way, we reward ourselves for being frugal and not credit happy. Just finally emptied out our change jug (5 gallon glass water jug) after a year of dropping change in it and were able to get Wayne the Galaxy Note 2, again...not on credit. The only downside is that it's my job to futz around with it and get it set up. Then I had to give it back to him.

tough times....I remember those times with T. But she didn't get like that until she was 6. It was awful. 6 year olds can be way louder and more destructive than a yearling. That was as ever close as I had ever been to becoming an abusive mom. Hopefully it is a short phase for him.

Thanks for the great idea... I took it a step further. I draped a little piece of un-waxed dental floss across the top of the button, pushed the cover on and it's perfect again! I love simple fixes!
