Well I am back from buying groceries, put them away, did the books, faxed some stuff.

Saw that my weekend DVD's will be Flight and Taken2!!! I can't believe I got them coming.

We have lots of rain here. Temps are hovering in the 40's during the day. Nights will be colder on Wed and may give us some mix of snow and rain.

I feel bad for all those in this storm's path that are without power. Winter is a horrible time to face the cold with no heat.

Everyone facing snow be careful if you go out. Stay in if possible. STAY SAFE!

Dave, do you get the Zach Galifianakis (in the best way) much? When I see your avi, I think about his great old stand-up (before movie stardom) and chuckle:D!

He's a funny guy but I don't think I've ever seen his standup, just appearances on various late-night talk shows. Usually people equate me to Kevin Smith, which I can't really complain about since I really enjoy his work. I, however, looked like Kevin Smith before Kevin Smith looked like Kevin Smith.

G'Day Naughties,

Hope everybody doing good. Supposed to have puter mail today :) I hope everything transfers over from the old to the new but have concerns that it won't. May have to burn a bunch of dvd's so may get hectic here after getting delivery.

Karen, Taken2 was awesome so enjoy!! A new Star Trek (Trekkie here) and new Skyline coming out this year so those are gonna be on my wish list.

Welcome back Honk, hope to see you around often.

Ed, enjoy DW and hoping for light snow for you.

Dave, great pics and looked like everyone had a blast. Hope the next is as successful.

Kayters, Val are surprisingly absent.....hoping you all okay ;)

Becky, great videos of fish, luv it :)

Good morning, Nutz....you are among Trekkie friends here :D I can't wait to see what they do this time. Enterprise is now one of my favorite movies. My daughter and I are now watching the original series. For her, it is a first...she's only 13. But she's always wanted to know what started the whole Trek movement. It has been entertaining to say the least. I grew up on the re-runs.

Nice mother, daughther time huh? Can't believe it has been so many years since those days of the original series. Guess I love this show because I've seen a UFO once when a kid which was later confirmed by a US astronaut though I forgot which one :p Was great to see people from around the world (alien too) working and getting along in a close environment. This was the first I can recollect and may have started the change in people's mind at the time. :)

Good (insert time of day here) REOvillians!

It was a very rough day yesterday. One of the xray's in ortho was down, and the way they run the clinic is that each day is a different clinic. So Monday is lower body, Tuesday is arms.. etc. Last Monday was a holiday, so they have all the regular appts, plus all the trauma from the past two weeks, plus all the post-ops. It was an overbooked clinic to say the least!

I hadn't left the house since surgery, and use my walker at home but took the crutches to the clinic. I ended up not only having to make my way to the clinic, but then to the hospital for xray and back. It was exhausting, it took all day as they were behind, and the drive is long. I was so exhausted when I got home I just went to sleep and didn't even fire up the computer.

The pain begins, or rather, never ends. My knee hasn't extended fully in a long time due to the bone being in the way, and the muscles are sore from being stretched when I fell. But, I have to get the movement back so need to move the knee. The doc said I have a LOT of scar tissue from the 4 surgeries that needs to be broken up, but that when I fell most of the sounds I heard was mostly likely scar tissue tearing up so it may have been a blessing since I was on the nerve block and couldn't feel it. She said they sometimes will put a patient under and break it up to get the movement back, but I seem to have started that process inadvertently since I can bend to about 85 degrees (I was 90 before surgery). The xray looked good, with only one part of bone iffy (dead!) and they will look at it again in 4 weeks to see how it goes, with possibly another MRI to see if it is more bone (dead or loose bodies) in there than there should be.

So, that is the update. I have been walking a lot more today and keeping the heating pad on it while I extend it and bend it to loosen it up. Surprisingly, no PT was ordered? Maybe because I did so much by myself already? Oh, and my left thigh is 2" smaller than the right and I may never get that back.
--------------
I have seen a lot of the country is having terrible storms! I hope everyone in the storm path is safe, and that Jack is getting the snow he needs. I guess this is going to be good in the long run after last year's drought, but sure do wish you didn't get it all at once!

Stay safe everyone, stay warm, and take care of each other.
