I have Life of Pi in the top position in my Netflix queue. It says it Releases 4/09/13. You must be special!

It's my folks account. They usually like to get movies they and I have seen a bunch of times already :)confused:), but my mom said a couple days ago that that's the next one they'll be sending us. She must be some sort of dirty liar...grrr:p. I'll add to Val's list of celebrations today with a sorta cute one I just read about - Disneyland Dapper Day: when Disney fans dress up - Boing Boing. I've always liked opportunities for costumes. Why should folks have to wait for Halloween?

I had one like that on my FACE once but did what you're doing and it went away eventually. No scaring or nothing. Musta happened when I was asleep. Take it easy, nerak

Yep, had one on my cheek under my eye last year. Went to urgent care after a couple of days. My eyes were starting to swell shut. They gave me steroids, anti-biotic, and atarax.

It sounds like a miserable bite! I would be knocked out and slobbering on that much diphenhydramine though. I take 25 and it is usually gets me groggy.

I sure hope it gets better soon, and if it doesn't that you get to see your Dr. or urgent care. Some of those spiders have some terrible venom, and it sounds like your reaction is a bit over the norm.

I don't do well with bee stings either. Have had some doctors tell me to not wait and go to get seen after a sting. Have had other doctors tell me it is just a local reaction and take benedryl. Not a "normal" reaction but not something to worry about unless it is still swelling after a few days and gets worse looking. They can get infected.

I have a epi-pen. With my allergies the way they are now I can't tell when a bite, sting, or med is going to cause a severe reaction.

I am just trying to stay awake here. Almost time for my next benedryl dose. I had to lay down for awhile with 75mg. I think I will do 50mg this time.

Usually bites like this get worse for a couple of days. If I can make it through today tomorrow should be better. Have it wrapped with some salt and baking soda on a compress. That keeps the itching down. The swelling is about the size of a tennis ball cut in half in diameter. Center is a hard knot about the size of a 50 cent piece.

Holy crap you should go get that checked out just to be safe

Hi Pietro! Most doctors will just tell me to do what I am doing. I have dealt with this type of thing since I was a child. Passed my allergies on to my kids too. Many visits to get them checked. Had one doctor say it was just a local reaction just like it was nothing. Then he did a Rx for benedrly and a anti-biotic. After a confrontation he finally admitted it was not normal.

Hey, have you checked out Vapor Vortex on Indian School yet? I'm hoping to get down there sometime this weekend to check it out. I hear they're mostly eGos and Hangsen juice, but are staffed by really great folks.

Karen, same here for reactions but probably not as often as you get. Bees and some Old World monkey dander give me anaphaxis and a couple unknowns. Black Widow bite I had little local reaction other than bite hole ran fluids out like a faucet. The general all over body reaction was the bad part; muscle spasms and respiratory distress. I live in spider haven and walk around with bites year round. Probably some brown recluse, too, but you only see documentation for the really severe reactions. I did have a BR bite on leg a few summers ago that had a red circumference size of yours. Thing that alerted me to it was lightest rayon brushing against it was excruciating and a small white pustule formed in middle. It didn't itch or burn though. Was up on tetanus shot but DH started me on antibiotic immediately. It stayed red and extremely tender for about a week. Kept bandaid over pustule and wore shorter rayon dress so it wouldn't brush against it.

I met a woman who swears by Idaho potatoe slice, taped over bite, doing something healing.

Few years ago Sara, my helper, and I were outside in driveway area and hadn't sprayed our repellent as I was just walking her to her car. Both of us got mosquito bites that caused red, extremely itchy area about the size of yours. Mosquitoes love us both so now with west nile such a threat I'm covered in my Cutters Advanced 24/7. Anyway neither of us had ever had such a huge reaction before or since. Really strange.

Good luck. Hope it doesn't get worse.

Hugs and love, Alice

Stupid thought of the day: Ever wonder if fanning yourself actually makes you hotter from the activity of waving your arm back and forth ??? :D

Hi Tim :)
Oh ya...I'm positive that has happened to me.:facepalm: Just say no to temperatures over 80°F.
