I decided not to buy the VV Reo Grande because I’ve had/seen interaction with the owner and just haven’t been favorably impressed. I’m not saying anything bad about him and his service has an excellent reputation, but he just seems a little full of himself [Possibly Deservedly So]

Not really my style but I think I'm gonna bite my tongue on this one people like this tend to make me say things that will earn me a timeout.

Right with ya on that. That's why I came here to cool off. He definitely sounds like a tool. Not worth my time. But I don't like him (or anyone) taking shots at the dude that made me forget smokes. I may have to address tommy sooner or later.

When I was very young my stepMom had an afghan...what a beauty! My Dad couldn't stand that dog though, I don't know why. It escaped the back yard twice...the second time never to return. When I was searching for my breed I mentioned afghans in front of my folks and they both said NO, in unison. Stupid question...do you shave their faces? I've never seen a scruffy afghan. (plenty of scruffy poodles!)

I still think they are gorgeous, but am happy I found my true love in standard poodles Afghans make me think of poodles with hair straightener.

newfoundland?? i don't know...i spent 6-8 hours grooming to keep him in show coat...could NEVER do that again....

Gotta one up everyone. Briard is the ultimate grooming nightmare. Up tp 12" hard goat outer guard coat but the nightmare is the soft long under coat that matts when dog is just standing there looking pretty. Took my Cissy Briard to Afgan Groomer specializing in mostly Afgans. She said she thought Afgans were the worst till way neglected Cissy Briard. No cutting could be done because of upcoming shows. Cissy was on her table two full days!!! Woman promised she wouldn't turn me into Briard Club.
