Val I did as you suggested. I burnt it until the juice burnt out. Kept heating it over and over. It is getting red from the center of the coil out. The "legs" wire do not get red at all. Let it burn in spurts like Johni mentioned. Numerous times. Without juice on the eckowool it never flamed up at all. Then squonek with juice and seems to be working fine. I can hold the button down for quite a time and no flame. Geez I needed a wick that I would not burn up! The cotton I just seemed to burn up. Then I went from burning the cotton (not into flames tho!) but the burnt hits to one that literally caught fire! LOL But now I think this eckowool will work better for me. I can't burn it up if I build the coil correctly and dry burn first! Dummy me! Guess there is always something new to learn! Now it is working fine!
What would I do without all you awesome people????? I guess I am just getting so old and all of this is just so hard for me to learn!

Well thank you all so very very much! Was going to just put a shorty carto on my Reo and give up! But now with all of your help I think I am going to like this eckowool. I DO love the taste of my juice using the RM2. Just a user error again on my part I guess. Geez one day I guess I will have this all mastered! Well gonna go have a beer than hit the hay! It is all about learning, and it ISN'T too hard for you to learn, because you just did! Don't give up and don't worry about it, we all run into things sometimes that just don't go as planned.

Cheri I know your all settled but don't worry about it next time just do a quick dry burn before wetting wick and make sure the coil heats evenly it should start getting red in the middle and work its way outwards. I've had same happen with a poor heating wick they get a bad spot that heats too hot too fast

Alice! I'm so glad that you have convinced DH to do this! Your life will be so much easier. The place sounds fantastic...much more upscale than the one I'm in. I'm sorry you have to part with two of your beloved doggies, but I'm also hoping that whoever they go to, you'll be able to visit them frequently.

Darling Alice, your daily life is going to be so much easier!And loads more fun, instead of always the work,work, work! I think we'd all love to see pics after you've moved in and gotten settled down!
